Lisa has been fantastic - even though we haven't actually had our wedding yet! My fiance and I were supposed to get married this past April. When stay-at-home orders came into play in March, we reached out to Lisa, who immediately confirmed she would change our date at no charge. Now, our backup date is also falling through, and she's agreed to change the date again. She's been fantastic and responsive through our planning, and we are so grateful for her willingness to work with us through the unexpected. She also was able to give the two of us a LOT of guidance on flowers, as we weren't sure what we were looking for! We'll of course update/write another review post-wedding, but in the meantime, Sunborn has been wonderful to work with, and I'd highly recommend them based on our experience so far. UPDATE: We finally (!) managed to get married in September, and I had so many people tell me they'd never seen flowers so beautiful. I could not have asked for anything more perfect - I loved them so much I actually decided post-wedding to have my bouquet preserved. I cannot recommend Sunborn Gardens and Lisa enough. Thank you so much!

I had the privilege of working for Sunborn years ago, where I got to know Hans and Lisa on a personal level. They are incredible people who pour their hearts into what they do. I knew when I was getting married they were the only option for flowers, because of the passion they bring to their business. From growing their blooms, to refined design, along with excellent client relations, they are the top florists to choose from. The execution of the design we discussed was more than I could have ever imagined. The flowers were the standout for our wedding. I look forward to visiting them at the Farmers Market for years to come to keep the memories alive for our wedding, and to appreciate the beauty Hans and Lisa bring to the world. Lisa was absolutely incredible to work with. After one call she knew exactly what needed to be done to make our flower dreams come true. It was important to us that all our flowers were sourced locally and because of her amazing farm she was able to make that happen. I came across Sunborn Gardens as I was looking for a local florist for an intimate wedding. I fell in love with their aesthetic, and was thrilled to see they offered an a la carte option for smaller events like mine. My jaw dropped when we walked into our venue. I knew it was going to be amazing from the all the details Lisa provided us prior to the wedding but seeing it in person left me speechless. The greenery hanging from the chandeliers, the flowers on the garden wall, my bouquet, to the flowers on the table and at our sweetheart were absolutely perfect and we cannot thank the Sunborn team enough for all their time and energy! You will love working with Lisa and seeing the vision come to life. Also, be sure to visit them at the Farmers Market. They make the perfect arrangements for both everyday and the most special of days.

I chose Lisa after seeing a styled shoot she did at the venue we chose. I checked out her Instagram account and saw exactly what I wanted in my wedding day: tons of texture, warm tones and a bohemian aesthetic adapted for the Midwest. I felt like Lisa understood exactly what I wanted from the beginning, and as our plans shifted due to the pandemic, she worked with me to adapt our original design to make the most beautiful intimate ceremony and reception florals. She absolutely blew us away with her work on the hanging installation above our sweetheart table, and everyone from venue staff to guests raved about how beautiful every detail was. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Lisa was great to work with for wedding flowers! I wanted colorful blooms & loads of variegated plants that were more modern than boho. I was very particular and Lisa worked with me throughout the entire process. She did incredible work bringing my vision to life and even tapped into her network of local farmers to get me some hosta plants! The flowers were beautiful and unlike anything I had seen at a wedding. She is very talented, kind & reasonable!
