We love Barns & Nobel in Dothan so much and go there a lot. I finally realized we needed a membership. It cost $25 a year, to get the 10% discounts on merchandise and the Starbucks cafe located inside. They have a nice little quaint area to sit and drink your Starbucks and read or bring your computer and do some homework for college students. They also have a table outside.

Not very busy, mostly a sign of the times. I feel B&N could use some new PR people. We need to make a bigger push to get people into these brink and mortar bookstores. I take my kids there for the atmosphere. There is just a feeling you get while looking at the books you've read, want to read and never heard of within seconds of each other. Amazon just doesn't give me the same buyer satisfaction that comes from walking and getting a new book.

This Barnes and Nobles is amazing. The best part is the clearance section right to the left when you walk in and the game section! This store is so well organized and all of the sections are labeled. The kids section is fun as well with a place for story time. There is a Starbucks at this location. Ask about their 25$ yearly Members Club bc it has many discounts for friends and family when you purchase it annually.

got a gift card they scratched it at the register so they knew I hadn't spent it yet and the website didn't recognize it meaning they didn't activate it good place to get books really bad policies.

I love this place. The staff is super helpful. Coffee is great. Wide selection of books. Not a fan of the new layout. Seems like a maze.

I walked up to the center service desk. Three Caucasian females with standing there talking. I thought one worker with helping out to customers. All three saw me, but neither acknowledge me. 15 minutes went by before one of the female acknowledged me. It's not the store that sucks it's the people that work there.

It seems that each time I go to a "book store" these days my memories of how awesome they used to be. Today was no exception. It seems that today's consumer isn't happy with a store that is only wall to wall books. For some reason now we need to have toys, games, music, and who knows what else all under the same roof. Think about it: how many dedicated toy stores do we have these days? Toys 'R' Us, Kaybee Toys, FAO Schwartz? Gone. How many dedicated music stores do we have? Liverpool Records, Camelot, Tower? Gone. I miss the days when a store did their thing and did it well. With today's multitasking, stores do many things, some better than others, but without fail I feel like there's something missing. The young lady who helped me not find the books I was looking for (they didn't have them) was delightfully helpful, even though we were unsuccessful in our venture. She alone earns the 3 stars of this review. (If the review were for staff alone, it would Garner a 5 star review.)

I just moved to Dothan from a larger city, and Barnes & Noble surprised me as being the best toy store here on par with what one would find in larger cities. Brands such as Bruder, Hapé, and Brio are available, even though the selection is limited. Educational and stem toys, as well as a choice suite of Lego options are also available. Obviously, they sell books, but the Philosophy section was a little light vs. Amazon for my taste. However, I must say, while living in a larger metropolis, I hadn’t walked into a proper bookstore in over 10 years, and this Barnes & Noble was a refreshing experience. (2nd & Charles used bookstore is a hidden gem however and also worth exploring!)

Love this barnes and noble. They have a decent array of manga and light novels. Can find some hidden gems in there as well if you look hard enough.

My family and I love coming to any Barnes and Noble but this one doesn't have sitting for the kids, I'm thinking because of covid but in the Cafe area u can sit.

Very nice Barnes and Noble location. They have moved stuff around since the last time I've been there, and I had to ask where Science Fiction and Fantasy had been moved to. A nice young lady helped me, and I was pleasantly surprised that they still had a large selection of Science Fiction and Fantasy to choose from. Kudos.

I love this place, very clean and inviting. You can always find something here you can't find anywhere else. Staff is always very helpful, and follow all safety recommendations which is a major reason I feel good bringing my child with me when I shop during non peak times). Great selection of science and stem for kids, homeschooling materials & if they don't have it they will order it. There is ALWAYS something on sale , the clearance section is amazing and the range of toys is unmatchable. Everything here from duplo, to learning resources ,geo safari, organization tools, crafts, anything you need to pull you through the pandemic in regards to teaching your child hands on. Oh and some books on meditation to save your own sanity in the process !

This is for the cafe, not the B&N book store. I’m not a person to write reviews but I felt like something should be said. I’ve been going to this cafe since 2017. There are a couple older baristas who are rude, judgmental, and speak openly about their harsh opinions. It is unprofessional to be insulted about a drink order and left me feeling bullied. I have let it slide for a while, trying to excuse it as joking or letting off steam, but their comments crossed a line to the point where I won’t be returning as a regular. You’d be better off at the Target Starbucks a few doors down.

Customer service has slipped a bit but overall they are nice and helpful. The Starbucks inside is really nice most of the time. Plus there are books and toys... what more do you want in life?

Clean with nice atmosphere. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Love to come here, especially to get coloring books and Manga. It's nice to just sit here for a while, whether inside or outside.
