I went in to buy wine for my mother’s birthday and needed help picking out some bottles. Knowing the kind she likes, they were able to recommend two bottles in my price range and they were spectacular. Absolutely wonderful wines that have easily become a favorite.

Used to be a good place to pick up cheap liquor (since it’s Alabama and not an ABC, everything that isn’t bottom shelf is super overpriced), but recently it’s been really disheartening to see the staff (including presumably the owner) and the shoppers completely ignore the need for masks, even going so far as to remove their “please wear a mask” sign from the front door. Do yourself a favor and find an ABC where the booze is cheaper and the staff show respect for their fellow humans.

Nice place with nice folks! Happy to see the prices were actually lower than some other places I have been for top end stuff. Definitely geared more towards the wine connoisseur but they still had a solid liquor selection. The son Paul even carried out my bag for me; great customer service! Thanks guys!

For over 20 years this has been the go to place to order wines by the case, pick up a few bottles and grab some fine booze. If you want something in particular, Smitty can usually find it. This is such a friendly neighborhood establishment. Drink a $2 brew while you browse. You just can't beat a friendly establishment like Overton and Vine. It may be your next go to wine and spirit shop.
