Primarily, food is OK. Our group consisted of 15 folks. We ordered a bevy of entrees. Corn soup and chicken sandwich were good. Quesedilla is a joke. Chips were too salty . Vegetarian sandwich, Mac n cheese were not bad. They charged 20% service charge either because of location or group size. The waitress was decent. The restaurant has some good spots to sit where you will get phenomenal views. Unfortunately we didn't get to sit in a good spot. To top it off, the chair and table sizes are small.

Extremely remote ski hill area... with available but limited restaurants seating. Elegant warm fireplace dining in the winter. Better for the locals, but very much worth it, if you take your time to enjoy the views... Could order ahead and have a picnic elsewhere. There are a few other dining and grocery options too. Cabin rentals nearby. Summertime ski lift viewable Wintertime ski hill Amazing weather and views

I write a lot of reviews and really don’t complain about places but I would not go back to this one for one it’s limited seating the guy cannot let us sit where we wanted to because he stated he needed tables for larger guests and the whole time we were there no larger groups came Now let’s get to the food they didn’t have no flavor and the menu was limited to basic breakfast

We had an excellent lunch. The staff was on top of things and efficient despite the rush. Be patient because we had to wait for about 20 min to get a table but the food made it worth it. We had the Ortega sandwich and chili. The ambiance is rustic with a beautiful view of the aspen forest.

Very friendly staff, fast service, corn chowder was a hit, so was chili. Pies were awesome too. The owner took our pic even!

I had a bowl of the best restaurant chili I can remember (IMHO mine is better). Iron Door chili is pleasantly "hot", tamed slightly with provided sour cream. Service was outstanding. Four others had chili also, cup or bowl. All very pleased. Pleasant atmosphere and excellent drinking water! We'll be back with other visitors.

My son and I had the French Dip sandwich and it was pretty good. Had chips and salsa which was better. Desserts sounded great, but we were too full to try them. My impression is most food comes out of a can, but it's to be expected due to the location. The service was excellent and the establishment was very clean.

Excellent Views! Very friendly family owned business. Great way to support locals! Servers are nice and professional. A warm fireplace heats the interior of a charming, inviting cabin atmosphere. The Warm Apple Cider is my favorite. They have a challenging supply chain to the top of Mt. Lemmon, so Strudel availability may disappoint you. They are worth ordering when in stock! I suggest going for breakfast (Only Sat/Sun from Open-10am) where you will also get a free lift ticket with each breakfast meal. A ride is normally $10 If I recall correctly, so a nice bonus for breakfast. Mt Lemmon closes the upper part during the winter time (December-February I believe), so you may not be able to get off at the top, and instead will ride back down. The ski lift is gentle, fun and the view at the top is very rewarding. There is a parking lot at the top if you would rather drive back down. I always take my family/friends up here to get great food, see Mt Lemmon, and ride the Ski Lift. Ask to see the very cool old Mercedes truck in the garage.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. They really do take care of their customers. The food was fast better than we anticipated and the prices were cheap than we expected. We will definitely eat here again when up in Ski Valley.

Very happy with our stop at the Iron Door. At a remote spot like Mt Lemmon, some restaurants might be tempted to phone it in. Not the case here! The food and service were both terrific. The spot is currently short-handed, so the management has folks wait for seating until the staff has capacity. It was a pleasant ~25 minute wait for our lunch on a weekday. I prefer this to sitting at a table waiting for a server. The food is mostly typically American, but with a few unique choices. Notably a couple of German items on the menu. (Great Brats!) The Chili and the cornbread are both very nice as well.
