The staff are great people to talk to and more than happy to help out. Went there for a treadmill, sadly was a bit confusing for pricing. The management wouldn't come out from where they were to help clear up the pricing. We eventually came down to the conclusion being the treadmills that are priced were for the display. It is what it is, but definitely need to have the managers to show up and help with guidance and not just stay behind and talk through a walkie-talkie. Great staff poor management I believe it was Gracy they were trying to have come out.

Wow....go to fort smith or rogers..stay away from the fayetteville store....especially if it's within an hour of closing time....having three kids all heavily involved in sports ACADEMY is our go to for clothes...actually just spent nearly $700 rogers earlier tonight...couldn't find something and decided to stop by the fayetteville location ..only to be greeted by a security guard of sorts...not to keep anyone safe...but to let everyone know when they walked In that the store closed in 45 min! I get it if it's 5 min before closing....but 45 min... the 6'4ish grey headed baritone in his late 50's early 60's leaning up against the wall looking at his watch in some kind of attempt to ward off business.(name is watts)...how sad...or I guess maybe business is that good that you don't need sales within the last business hour. Sad...my family my friends, and the several sports teams that I coach....will not be visiting that location any time soon . Hopefully someone that cares will see this and do something about it.....oh and just now...21 minutes until close....the guy working the shoe section rolling around in a freaking chair....made sure to tell us they close in 20 min. If it's so important...close at 8..sheesh 9pm means 9pm harass your paying customes AFTER 9pm...not before

A little messy and a lot of gaps on the shelf. Came in for shoes and left very shortly after. I feel like I have more shoes in my closet than what they have available. Each brand, including massive ones like Nike, have very limited selection. On top of that, there was a set of kids running around the store our entire visit riding the bikes, boxing on the bags, throwing balls around customers. Obviously I don’t need Academy to be their parents. But I’m a little confused on why this happened the entire time we were there and employees just kept walking past without blinking an eye. Definitely not the right move to make for the other customers who have to be around it. Which also helped contributing in us deciding to leave.

We were 2 hours from home headed to a soccer tournament in NWA when we realized we had no cleats. I called Academy in Fayetteville when I was 20 minutes away and told them our predicament. When we ran in the store they had a cart of soccer cleats in our size waiting for us. My son found one that was perfect and we were in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. We made it to the soccer game just in time. The great customer service at Academy Sports in Fayetteville saved the day for us. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure I was profiled out of their store. I was looking at baseball gloves, and an associate came over and told me they closed in 3 minutes, at 9:00pm. I moved to the checkout line and noticed that the sign on the door said 10:00pm was the closing time. So as I watched customer after customer enter the store and NOT be told they were closing soon, so I began to wonder. Then I noticed the same employee staring at me from the sporting goods section. Tge wasn't cleaning or straightening anything. Then I noticed the shift lead staring at me too from his post in front of the exit doors. I got a little uncomfortable at this point to be honest. It's unfortunate, because I spend a great deal of money there, at least I used to. I won't go back. I'll ship at Walmart instead.

I got a purple and a green umbrella that attaches to any back of a folding outdoor chair to keep us cooler in the shade. Academy had a great selection to choose from. So happy I keep one in any vehicle in case of emergency so I don’t have to stand all day.

I went to the store on 08/11 and looked at some Brooks Ghost 14 running shoes. They were $109 in the store, the same price as every online retailer I checked. I went back 3 days later on 08/14 to buy the shoes and they had been marked up 28% to $139. I checked online retailers again and they were all still at $109, even Academy's own website. 08/14 happens to be the day before kids return to school and the store was extremely busy. I suspect they're attempting to price gouge last minute back to school shoppers who might not have time to shop around or go somewhere else. I did not check other shoes or items but suspect I could have found other instances of the same practice. I'm pretty disappointed in what is the only large sporting goods store in Fayetteville. It seems that they're taking advantage of that fact. Check prices online if you decide to shop here.

Well it was interesting. I went to look for a specific item. Saw no one around to offer help. As I did not just want to wonder around. There was an employee chatting with a man and i asked is there someone to point me for the item i wanted and he pointed way far away and showed me that if i need assistance to push a call button. 🤔🙄🤔 Are you Kidding me !! Then upon check out got in the single file line and waited for a check out lane, as I am standing there by myself no other customers a cashier is just standing there no words or expression, a loud voice announces cashier 1 is open 😃 Ok, literally that was the cashier just standing there !! 🙄🙄 Laughing and very amused that employees cannot acknowledge a customer, greet them verbally, WOW !! Then I am handed my item with no offer of a bag ! So I ask may I have a bag ? Response : Oh most people dont take them, RUDE !! I said well I reuse bags !! Unbelievable !! I was in sales most my life, Never was anything I experienced today to be Customer Service !! Unfortunately this All happened at Academy, but We see it everywhere !! So Sad So Sad !!!

The store is huge. They have alot there. Staff was friendly. They didn't carry the style of New Balance that I wear and offered to maybe order it, but I prefer to try on and purchase.

Had a check rejected three times, so I used a card from the same bank, it went through, can't find the receipt ,other than three rejections, called there robot about it, it couldn't understand me, so no satisfaction and couldn't do the survey!! I had never had a check rejected in my life!! Without info about, I will shop elsewhere!! I do not recommend this store!!
