Dr. Tsugawa went above and beyond for my two dogs and I. I scheduled dental cleanings for them both and, after giving them both exams, he told me only one of them needed a cleaning, as the other dog’s teeth were already clean enough with daily brushing. They didn’t even charge for the exam. I was fully prepared to pay for two cleanings and not one so it was a pleasant surprise to hear the second dog didn’t need one. He easily could have done the cleaning anyway but chose to be honest about it in the best interest of the dog. He very clearly prioritizes the well-being of his patients over profits.

We waited over a month to bring our dog to a be seen by this facility for his broken tooth. The prices that were given over the phone were much lower than what they “estimated” after finding out that our dog was obtained from a breeder. Upon further questioning, they then refused to give the “estimated price” for a simple tooth extraction and said that they need to calculate costs because people “shop around.” I myself am a physician and care for people and understand the sympathy and empathy that is necessary for the care of another being. Simply put, cost should not be a factor that is taken into consideration when evaluating a patient, human or dog. They then refused to give us the information even though we waited over an hour. I felt like I was taking my car to a auto shop. Why does it have to be like this for our pets? My dog is my family and I would want the same care and consideration for him as any of my family members. To put simply, I am in utter shock. Specifically, it was the conversation I had with the “property manager” Meghan Glanuzio that helped me realize that the motives of this facility are financial and not for the proper care of our animals. I’m extremely disappointed.

I also hadn't gotten her teeth cleaned since adopting her over a year ago. I didn't want to wait for months for my regular vet to do an exam since I was afraid something serious could be wrong. My intuition was right, but it was a different tooth. She needed an extraction and I was provided with a quote and breakdown of costs. I left my sweet girl there all day and picked her up after the procedure. She was of course a bit funny from the drugs but clearly not in any pain. Great news was that the cost was actually lower then their low cost estimate! Kimchi is doing fine now and I can rest assured she has been cared for. The doctor also took the time to send me pictures from the procedure documenting the issues and took a lot of time to answer all of my questions.

They took excellent care of poor Mr. Smee's broken tooth- extracted and healed up with no problems, he's much happier. Staff and doctor were very helpful, polite, and professional. Hopefully your pet never needs to come here, but if they do need a dentist this is a great choice. Small parking lot off Duquesne but more rooftop parking off Jefferson.
