Kuiu has some awesome cold weather gear, but you’re going to pay for it…even when it’s on sale. But I don’t think I have any cold weather clothes that keep me as warm but weigh almost nothing. Last summer I bought myself and my dad a kenai jacket and unless the temperature drops below freezing it’s all I need with a tshirt. I also have the peloton jacket for mildly cold weather and I just bought but haven’t received the super down ultra during their founders sale. Always buy when on sale and you won’t be disappointed. You’ll also never be able to go back to your old heavy jackets once you get used to these!

Absolutely love the gear it has held up for me in the worst and roughest of conditions. Kept me dry and warm when I needed it the most. That's the positive now onto the negative. I dislike how if you order a piece of gear online you can't return it to the store???? Customer service is very hit and miss talking to a representative over the phone for the most part has been a pleasant experience and I've received legit help with my questions. The store in Dixon on the other hand is literally the worst when it comes to customer service. No one ever offers to help and if they do feel so inconvenienced to answer one of your questions its usually the shortest answer ever then they turn and walk away absolutely no people skills. The individual who sits up front looks at you when you walk in then goes right back onto their phone. Good thing you can order gear online because if you were forced to go into the store and make your purchases you would never be back and would go with a competitors brand. I've contemplated changing brands due to bad customer service only time will tell. When you are spending this kind of money I would expect more from a high end hunting gear store.

I ordered a 7200 pack from their KUIU World Tour trailer and was met with great service and fitted perfectly. I was told that the pack would be 2 weeks out which at the time I understood. I called them on the following Monday asking if they could possibly send it earlier since I had a backpacking trip coming up. I received a phone call asking if I still needed it ASAP and It was on my doorstep 3 days later..great service and quality.... So good in fact I just ordered a 15 degree bag.
