The people at this bank are the salt of the earth. They help in anyway they can. Been with the bank before it was bought out by PNB Parabos. Watched that company ruin customer relations over 25 years. In business for 28 years, almost had one check bounce from a customer. The company sits on about 10% of my checks for 2 or three before they "release" my money to me. I wonder how much interest the company makes on all that money that sits in limbo. The people that work at these branches Are The Best.

So to pay rent each month, I need to get a cashier's check from my current bank, bring it to a Bank of the West, and input it into to my landlord's account. Bank of the West makes this difficult because they open later than most banks and close earlier than most banks, then on the weekends they are flat out closed both days. It just makes timing difficult when you are working long hours to keep income coming in for the household. I left work early today and just barely made it to the only branch along my hour and twenty minute route home, right at 4:35pm to find that they had taped a piece of paper to the window saying they changed their hours and will now be opening even later and closing even earlier in 2021... So I'm officially late for paying rent this month and it just became more difficult to time. Next time at least have the decency to change your store hours online so I could've tried to plan for it instead of getting completely surprised. Can't wait until robots can completely replace bankers so I don't even need to go in to a Bank to get special transactions done.

Worst bank ever. They won't cash money orders and other checks. They said they aren't a check cashing place. You are an Fing bank! You suck!

Bank of the West left my Home Equity Line Of Credit open after I sold my home and then took out a $2,400.00 flood insurance policy on the home I no longer owned. The Forestville bank manager, told me in no uncertain terms it was my fault this happened. I called Bank of the West’s insurance carrier, Modern American Insurance, who originally told me they received no monies from Bank of the West. Their head supervisor said I was responsible for the whole $2,400.00 in insurance and I would receive no refund. Modern American Insurance finally put, in writing, they refunded 100% of the flood insurance to Bank of the West, with no earned premium. Bank of the West kept the unearned premium and refuse to refund it to me. I have all the documentation to prove it, including HELOC statements to show they were unable to close the credit line. I have a letter from Bank of the West Senior Vice President for Corporate Compliance, that I voluntarily left the HELOC open when I sold my home. That could not be further from the truth. In the next sentence he says the bank told me the credit line could not stay open. When the balance on the HELOC was paid off, Bank of the West erroneously left the credit line open and apologized in a letter. Meanwhile, they kept the unearned premium anyway. I calledank of the West yesterday to try to get my money back. The person told me the flood policy was purchsed and cancelled the same day, according to banl of the West records. I was then put on hold for 45 minutes, before I gave up waiting.
