Recently rented a 10 ft truck to Redding and back. The truck ran very nice. I picked up some fragile oriental furniture and again the truck drove smooth and easy and the furniture did very well. The staff gets the 5 stars, very helpful, excellent humor, as well as compassionate to whatever your cause or needs are~

I am giving one star because I can’t give zero. I have two dealerships within 10 miles of my home. I called the main 800 number to rent a truck to drive from Yreka, CA to Medford, OR and back, approximately 100 miles round trip. I was told that I couldn’t rent from my local dealer because they were in the process of changing ownership. I couldn’t rent from the Montague store because they had no available trucks. I had to pick it up in Medford, this was OK, since the two chairs that I needed to pick up were in Medford anyway. I was also told that I could drop it off locally. I paid $100+ for included mileage which would cover the trip. When I picked up the truck, I was told again that I could drop it off locally. As I was driving home from Medford in the rental, (the 10’ truck when all I needed was a pickup), I received a text telling me that I had to return it to Redding, CA. 100 miles south. When I called the number for questions, I was told that there was no one local because they all had too many trucks! I was offered a full refund for the rental if, I found someone with 4 hours to kill, put 200 miles on my car and paid for the gas in my car. I said no as this was impossible. So I made arrangements to take the truck back to Medford. People who don’t know my area need to understand that Medford is; 50 miles, a mountain pass and a state line from my home. This morning, for the heck of it, I called the dealer 7 miles from home. Guess what? I can drop it off there. When I complained to the young man on the phone that I was unhappy that U Haul had lied to me and tried to manipulate me, he explained that U Haul is doing this to get their trucks to busier markets. In the future I will exhaust EVERY POSSIBLE OPTION before using U Haul again!

Excellent local business. Helpful, fair and personable employees. Quick to help and with desire to do so. I hope I don't have to move ever again! But if I do I this is where I would go to rent a truck. You should to.
