Mexican food is always fresh and tasty when my order is made right, it use to be all the time now it changed not sure why? My go to order regular burrito with vegetables vegan style. The best part is when you can taste everything in it. !!Warning!! Updated 10/20/22 for those who are vegetarian/ Vegan Lately there has been slight meat Flavor or eggs flavor never use to be like that I was hoping it was only a one time issue. Iam all about consistency in my food . And helping business grow and helping the community be aware. I will not return anymore. Thanks for the many delicious vegan style burritos when I say delicious meaning you can taste every vegetable, blk beans and rice, onion. Not anymore (sad ) the last 5 burritos I had all had that lingering taste in our gums plus today the cashier gave me my order and says potatoes and eggs in Spanish. Back to Wholefood!!!

La Costena is very dear to my heart. Although I have only lived in MTV for roughly five years, this has been my most trusted Mexican stop for the entirety. You can walk away with easily the best Mexican food in the city for a reasonable price. The staff is very kind and I think the chefs probably start working on my order the moment I step through the door before ordering because they know exactly what I'm going to get. I had a solid run ordering their burritos. The mountain view special is exactly what you want for most occasions but at some point I converted to the veggie super burrito with everything on it so I can split the meal over a few days. Most recently though I have been ordering their super tacos. The unknown secret is that one order of super taco actually gives you two hefty tacos only for $5 which is unmatched by any other spot in MTV. The salsas they have are sufficiently hot so when you ask for spicy it's going to be spicy. I can't say enough about this place you just have to experience it for yourself. Cheers, La Costena! Vegetarian options: Almost all dishes have a vegetarian option and cheese is always optional. Parking: Huge parking lot can be a bit busy but you'll always find a spot. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a large wheelchair accessible ramp from the road.

I LOVE burritos and this was the best I've ever had: nice choice of tasty ingredients, perfect size (the regular), and delicious salsas on the side. Can't wait to come back!

Tasty! Been going to this place for years, and they have never messed up an order! Food is amazing, I usually get the carne asada tacos or a burrito. The tacos are delicious and flavorful. The burritos are also yummy. Their horchata is also very good. The staff is kind too. A delicious local favorite that can be picked quickly and on the go. Definitely recommend!

Great Spicy Salsa. Mild Salsa, meh. Food is good. Service is great. Lots of homeless people handing around, possibly due to the liquor store next door. So be careful leaving a bicycle unlocked outside.

I can't say enough great things about this place! I have lived in the bay area a little shy of 2 years and this place has the best carnitas burrito I've found so far and 2 years is a lot of burritos. The tacos are also a super hit! The staff is always fast and friendly and the drinks are cold as ice. What more could your want?

The burrito range goes from regular to huge and everything in between. They will customize your order and offer daily specials. This is my go to burrito place. Lots of choices and has been at the same location for years. They have lots of dishes on the menu but I'm hooked on their fresh, juicy and delicious burritos
