We had never heard of a date shake, but after having one at the Windmill Market, we were hooked. I'd recommend one to anyone who loves sweet surprises

We just stopped in as we had read a review on their date shakes. They were delicious! It was an easy in and out and they also had clean restrooms.

I love Dates, thanks for the tasty drink.

The workers we interacted with were extremely friendly. We came here to try ‘the best date shake in the desert’. It was our first one ever so I’m glad we got to try ‘the best’. I ended up purchasing a ‘butterscotch root beer’ as well even though I don’t even drink soda usually.

Gonna be honest - it looks a bit sketch from the outside, but a wonderful little place. We stopped for shakes and I tried my first date shake. Yum! We sat in the back in a little outdoor garden space that was charming. Apparently it is the spot to be, because shortly after we arrived a small tour group arrived with an older gentleman telling his guests stories about the area. We listened in and according to the guide, this is the only place that uses local actual dates, not date powder, in their shakes.

It’s a small place with big taste and awesome staff. Don’t judge the book by it’s cover. While the setup is old, the date shake is truly the best in the desert.

We stopped here for their famous date shakes, and we were not disappointed! They were delicious! They have a menu that includes sandwiches and other fare, and the store sells groceries and drinks, too. There is an outdoor seating area in the back that is fairly well protected from the frequent high and gusty winds in the area. A great place to stop for a snack, a shake, and some relaxing time in the garden area

Found this hidden gem near work. I wanted something that wasn't fast food and locally owned. First time going I bought their burrito and wasn't a fan. Second time going I tried their turkey sandwich with macaroni. Solid choice, tasteful with fresh ingredients. They even have a outside patio so you can sit down and enjoy your food.

Our bnb host told us to stop here on our way back to Palm Springs from Joshua Tree. This ended up being an excellent suggestion. We had their date milkshakes which were amazing (and I wouldn't consider myself a date fan). After a long day hiking, they hit the spot. We also got beef and chicken tacos. Both were excellent, though I liked the chicken better. The owner was super friendly and the service was fast. I would definitely swing back through here again.

A little gem in North Palm Springs. We wanted to experience one of those famous date shakes, so based on reviews, we pulled up to this quaint little building on a corner road and went inside. Besides offering standard and not-so-standard grocery store items, they have a takeout counter for some pretty awesome lunch dishes. We did order the date shake - it lived up to its rep 👍🏼. We also decided that we were hungry and ordered a pastrami sandwich and one of their lunch specials - fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Excellent quality and generous portions. There is a little garden oasis in their backyard that diners can sit in and enjoy - complete with flowers, ornaments, patio chairs and tables and a lovely lime tree to provide shade. Staff were great. Lucky Palm Springs to have them.
