Everyone is right, the guy working here was a total jerk. Super short with us, not polite at all. The gelato is great, but will not go back because of that guy. Never giving him business again.

Have always loved this place and the Gelato. The Hispanic person manning the place was extremely rude. Our visit was Monday aug 8th. We rushed over from Tierra Linda to get there before they closed. Walked in at 8:15pm. The door was open the Neon open sign was lit, and this guy says we are closed. I gave him our order and he reluctantly prepared it. A mom and her daughter walked in right after we did and he told them we were the last customers. They pleaded with him and he nastily told them to leave. I felt like dumping our ice cream on the floor and walking out. The flavor and experience were ruined for us. Would love to chat with the owner and alter my review. I feel horrible for the business and it’s owner that this is the service experience we must settle for; in order for the owner to take some well deserved time for him/herself.

I went to have iced creme with my kids and mother the guy I don't know his name was so rude short guy 08/08/22 around 1:30 if you want to make business you don't want people like that.

The hours online show 830. I came in at 815 and was very rudely turned away.

Don’t even remember the taste of the ice cream. Spanish guy that works there was soo rude to us it ruined the whole experience. When we came to the shop it was closed( door was locked during business hours) and the guy that works there came out of the car and was yelling at us because we pulled the door “ the door is broken don’t pull it, don’t touch the door I said!” Then he opened the door and literally pushed kids out of the shop because he needed to enter and take some time there without us. He was upset because we didn’t know what flavor we wanted right the way( there were eating of us) I understand it’s post Covid and everyone is short on staff but it doesn’t mean staff should be rude to customers. Not planning to come back.

Good gelato. A little sweet to be perfect Italian but definitely better than anything else in Marin. Somewhat annoying that you have to order a huge size to get two flavours. Unfortunately they use plastic and uncompostable pots and spoons, which they should stop doing.

Bit pricey really but OMG the gelato is good, and you can sit in the heat at the picnic tables by the creek, so sweet, a nice moment with the kids.

This was my first time at this local favorite that has been serving San Anselmo for At least 15 years ( that's when my niece, who introduced me to this place, first became a fan ). The friendly owner was behind the counter, working hard to scoop treats for the long line of eager eaters. I had the Carmelo Chocolate Crunch gelato, and as a chocolate ice cream aficionado, it gets my highest rating. Definitely recommend!

Great taste and various flavors. Parking can be tricky and they do NOT accept cards. It is a cash only establishment. I was able to order two flavors in one scoop, which was nice. Coconut Macadamia Nut and Darth Vader Dark Chocolate.
