This place is amazing and does amazing things for the community. I can say I'm so greatful for the things they have provided for me as well as helped me with over the last three years since iv been in california. So if you come across a worker or even a volunteer thank them for the awesome job there doing in helping out less fortunate. Keep up the great work guys!

They were pretty friendly. They're a good agency that tries to do anything they can to help people and thats commendable. The doorman tried to help everyone with their needs whether it was clothes, mail, or connecting with a caseworker. By nature of the programs guidelines, people dont usually get real help out of their situation beyond daily basic necessities like food and clothes, but thats not the salvation army's fault. They do a lot of good.

The staff was super patient and welcoming. This was my first contact and Brian and Sam really were understanding. They gave me the dignity i deserved as a fellow human being talking with me not at me. Thanks guys.

The salvation army in sand City is a great place to go to shower/ do laundry/ have coffee and Danish in the morning/ eat a meal.. Also you can get help with bills/ food or just sit and visit with people who have similar needs... Nice staff..very helpful.. I also learned that the Shakes family has played a large roll in the salvation army staring with Sabu Shake... I've known the Shakes family for years..very nice family.. definitely want to give them a big shout out for all they do and have done in our community..

the Samaritan center is not a donation center this center helps the homeless population Monterey county and is one of the only places in Monterey county to take and receive a hot meal shower and do their wash if you're somebody who has enough money to contribute to an organization that is not a corporation like Goodwill that is not going to pay there CEOs hundreds of thousands of dollars and their employees minimum wage this is a 501 3 c taxes and corporation and is a stellar and staunch supporter of the people who need it more than anything else is help please contribute to salvation army this is a fantastic place for the homeless to go and receive help of any kind in Monterey county

Very crowded. Showers and bathrooms are not clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dryers don't work well. No breakfast, only stale doughnuts.
