Wonderful and welcoming staff. From the beginning of me and my girlfriend adopting a precious pup, they were outstanding and considerate. Very obvious they took the time to know all of their furry friends. Karyanne was the one that took care of all the paperwork and she was top notch. Very kind and patient. Also they told us that our dog, Coco, was previously aggressive but one day with him and we have taken him on a walk, met our other dog, and has been out to a restaurant with us and he’s been amazing. Will recommend to anyone looking to adopt a furry friend into their forever home.

Beautiful facility. Animals are clean and comfortable. Staff & volunteers are competent and friendly. While it's heartbreaking to see all the unwanted cats & dogs, don't look away. They need love.

There's only one man here who's awesome and shows empathy towards people and the animals. The front desk staff are the worse & liars at that! They have female intimates working here or act like they are straight out of prison, they try and intimidate you. I adopted my dog here, he was dragged by an older man, my poor dog was crying & shoking from the way he was dragged by a rope, he hung on to me for dear life with his little paws thats how I ended up adopting him:). It's unfortunate that many animals get put to sleep, but we also have to thank irresponsible people who just dump them and illegally breed.

We adopted a pit bull 7yrs ago our beloved Leonidas! and today we had to put him down. We called the animal campus which is where we adopted him from. They originally said $50 since my husband is a veteran and on a fixed income then we get there and now it’s $150. They wouldn’t even let us go back with him to be with him when he passed! They put him in a kennel and had us leave him there probably scared. They treated him like a piece of meat. It was the most heartbreaking thing we’ve ever had to do. On top of having to make the hard decision to put him down, the process with them was lacking even the most minimal of compassion! Zero regard for what our Leo was going through or what we as pet parents were going through. What a horrible place, horrible experience, they need to seriously restructure their process or somebody needs retraining because this was absolutely traumatizing! How is this place still allowed to continue running with the horrible service they have in place. The people have zero compassion, empathy, and are extremely rude! Why work there if you do not want to be in a service position. They should be shut down. They serve no purpose other than heartbreak!

This shelter puts down dogs that are perfectly healthy and fine due to space reasons. That is not tolerable in any way. No living being deserves to be murdered due to lack of space. There is always another way or another option to avoid euthanasia in these cases. Because when they are killed, and more come in, more will be put down then too because these people do not care.

I adopted my Max there 3 weeks ago. A beautiful Bengal. He's a love. The staff is great!

This is a great animal shelter. They have lots of space and it's always clean. The animals are always well taken care of. When I was there the other day they were doing free adoptions to help get the animals homes faster. They also have a really great website where you can view all the animals separated by the adoptable and not yet available status. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

So I saw a very handsome black Labrador available for adoption, but with a caveat that states he is to be euthanized within 24 hours. After waiting on the phone for a response from a representative to inquire on the Labrador, finally spoke with someone. I asked if the lab could be placed on hold as I live 100 miles away, and why is such a beautiful lab even being on a kill list. The woman who picked up the phone expressed no empathy, no concern, just quoting some lines she read off a screen. Was told in a not so friendly manner that if the lab isn’t rescued by tomorrow, meaning the 24th of February, that he would be euthanized. I then asked the woman on the phone if she has owned a dog, but she declined to answer, and that she is just an operator. Why warehouse animals at this location if you aren’t even going to try let someone make a date to drive out and adopt. At this point it became obvious that not only does this shelter have people picking up the phone who do not even work there, but have no compassion, or empathy towards the animals who are scheduled to die if not rescued and do not even have a care about animals. As a healthcare worker, it would be comparable to someone calling me to fill their medications, but I could not allow them if they don’t show up in person to order. This facility needs to be more accommodating to help adopt their pets as many are falling through the cracks, and do not get a chance to be rescued by either an animal rescue, or someone who needs to schedule a time to drive down. You are not helping our furry pets by euthanizing them before they can be rescued.

I found a cute little kitten outside my house but couldn't keep him because I already have two, spayed and declawed Persian Cats. So, I tool this little fella to the CV Animal Campus. Hope he finds a good family.
