We met our last dog at ARF, she recently passed at 14 years. We came back because it felt right. We met our Lily and fell in love. Pit mix 49 pds of love for people. However her reaction to dogs, squirrels, cats, birds is not good. Yes, she had a few friends at ARF that she would play with. We brought her back to see what we might be doing wrong. They brought her buddies out and she did fine. However that was the limit to her friends. We need to find someway to get her on the right track. It's just my daughter and I and number 1 no one was honest about her aggression. We have had her going on 5 months please help us! She is almost 4 but I don't believe she was ever treated with care until ARF JESSICA and BONNIE

I love how nice environment was. The staff was real nice, the animals didn't seem stressed and just made me leave with a smile . I did adopt a puppy to help me with getting over my grief and I am just feeled with joy every time I see my puppy's face . The whole outside and inside is nice. It was really nice to see cats and dogs get adopted so fast while I was looking for a new family member. It just warmed my heart ❤️ Awesome place.

Any place that loves pitties like these people do get 5 every time. I love pitbulls. I've got a great story for Mr. Bloomberg, I've been wanting to tell the county and the whole state. What goes on in contra costa county animal services is CRIMINAL. The way they treat dog, pitbull lovers is wrong. We nead a judgment to shut that 4800 imhoff shelter down, and reopen a place to help the dog's not murder them. Keep up the good work ARF...

ARF is a great place to adopt pets. I found this 3 month old puppy on petfinder and got a reply from staff the next day. The place is sparkly clean and all the staffs are friendly and welcoming. They gave me plenty time to socialize with the puppy and patiently answered my questions. Needless to say I adopted this cute little girl right away. Before leaving, ARF staffs provided many documents and resources to help me learn and train this puppy.

ARF helped so much when we came in to adopt a cat! They have you fill out a form indicating your interests and situation and then they bring you to meet the animals. We visited a bunch of cats, and they didn't rush us at all. They let us visit the cats multiple times before we found our adoptee. Tracy helped us so much from visiting the cats to filling out the adoption forms. She made the whole experience really easy.

We went in to check on about giving donations and found our youngest! Staff was super nice definitely were trying to find perfect and good homes. We were interested in one cat but already had 2 others however she was sure to inform us of the health risks towards our other cats bringing home that one she maybe she wasn’t a good fit! We ended up getting a different cutie though, who fits perfectly with our family!

James,

like all of Tony larrusa foundation tip top. Everything they do is fantastic.i bring my serve dog there so times. He is well traind. And just loves the people there. But chaos loves everyone. That's the way a dog turns out when you train them with treats and praise. It's a longer training process but we'll worth the effort. When you have a bread that's known to be intelligent it's easy. Like shepherds, or collies, herding dogs. My dog was extremely easy to train. He is a Queensland Healer an Australian Sheppard. So that helps. I had him trained to help someone drawnning at one time. Positive training is best.

Went here April 16, 2018 to get my puppy spayed, it's been over a month and she continues to have problems with the surgery area, we have had to go to the vet 3 times since just because of this. And they don't help you here after surgery at all. I would highly recommend going somewhere else and spending a little extra money, it will save you money and time in the long run. See pictures of what my puppy is going through now
