My cat of 20 plus years passed away recently,. And the people at Northside made a stressful time less stressful. Much appreciated. I would always recommend them for any pet needs!!!!

I dealt with both Carla and Amanda over the phone to get my new rescue dog a heart worm prescription. They were so friendly, helpful, and prompt. I know they’re busy there but they still made my dog a priority. Thank you!

8/21/21 Excellent vet! The best I have found; the doctors as well as the techs are caring and take the time to listen and speak with you. The follow-up is wonderful too. Both my 11 year-old and 2 year-old kitties come out feeling calm -- not upset like they have from other experiences. I especially love that there not any extra charges or need for tests. Who calls or texts to find out how your pet is the next day??? VCA Northside does. With Covid, one day the doctor came out to my car and spent 30 minutes talking to me to explain my concerns about my new rescue cat. Other times I have spent from 10-20 minutes on the phone with the doctor asking questions and then following up after the check-up or visit. Prices are great. I won't go anywhere else and recommend them to everyone I know.

They are by far the best I've been too! I was referred to them because I was told someone at this clinic had experience with large breed dogs.. I came from an unfriendly experience from another vet.. and was very hesitant because I have two large dogs who have anxiety.. I was greeted with Kat! She has been amazing with my dogs! The vets and staff treat my dog as if they are one of thier own.. always works with my work schedule!

I made an appointment to get my new puppy examined. The vet i spoke to spent the whole time trying to sell me on a monthly wellness plan. Felt very odd that was a priority to discuss instead of the dog first. Seemed like they care more about money than your pet. This was also my first visit and I was told I would need to come back because he was not ready for a booster shot yet and needed to supply a stool sample. I feel like this could have been avoided if I was told prior to making the appointment. The vet said he was unaware of the shots my dog had previously had but I would think a competent organization would ask these questions up front and mention the need to bring a stool sample instead of trying to get me to come in again in 10 days and charge me for another visit. It took one appointment to realize this is not the vet for me and I would recommend looking elsewhere to anyone considering.

I used to use this place but i stopped when they wanted to neuter my dog without doing any pretesting. He barked when the Dr entered the exam room.( just barked no growl or anything) and the vet said he was "aggressive" and felt it would be better to just do the surgery real quick. My dog is a pitbull. I took him to another vet who did the pretesting and surgery and said my dog isn't aggressive just nervous. I feel the vet at VCA was unprofessional and doesn't know animals. He pegged my dog aggressive due to his breed and i feel that is wrong.

One of my two cats was "showing signs of sickness" throughout my home (blood in the urine). Not knowing what to do, I stopped by VCA in Danbury yesterday since they provide exceptional care for my dogs. Crystal, who greeted me when I walked in, answered all of my questions and made me feel much more at ease. Even though other customers were arriving, she never made me feel rushed. She multi-tasked with ease was really caring and scheduled an appointment for us to return at 4PM. At 4PM, Amanda, one of the vet techs, met me at the door. She assisted me with the cats and immediately showed me to an examining room where I was met by Shelly and Evan. As it turns out, Evan manages this location but he knew I was anxious about the cats so he stayed in the room during the exam and assisted. That decision alone exceeded any expectations that I had. After the vitals were taken, there was a small wait for the doctor during which Amanda and Michelle came into the examining room and spent time petting (and talking to!) the cats. They were both extremely professional, loving and very compassionate. Within a few minutes, Dr. Hernandez identified which cat was sick and provided the diagnosis (stones in the bladder). She explained my options and knowing I had recently been laid off, made suggestions that would be financially viable. Michele (the CVT technician) showed me how to administer the medication/pills (twice) and even let me videotape it. Upon "check-out", I was advised that the examination fees had been waived and was given several sample bags of the "special diet" food as well as toys for the cats. I am so appreciative of the team at VCA in Danbury. From the front desk - to each of the techs - and the doctors, it's a symphony of love. They are hands down my provider of choice for both cats and dogs.

We have been taking my dog here for 4 years. They have always been nice and attentive. The staff is great and always know my dog by name when we come in. Even after we moved we still go to this vet even though there are other gets closer.

I have brought my dogs here for years. The staff is friendly and helpful. The veterinarians have always been competent and trustworthy. The doctors do change often, so you probably won't get the same one all the time. This hasn't been much of a problem for us, as we have liked them all. Overall this office has worked out for us. The main downside would be the price, but it probably is comparable to other local vets. The Care Club monthly payment options are convenient though to keep up to date with vaccines and routine care.

The staff at VCA are amazing, we recently had to put our 14 year old dog to sleep, and they were so compassionate, and kind. I'm disabled, and have a fixed income. VCA worked with me, to make sure that my poor dog was no longer in pain and was able to pass in peace. Thank you so much! #RIPGaryBear
