best post office around. the complainers are the entitled MOneeks who whine about everything. the staff and postmaster here deserve nothing but praise here not whiny little complaints.

Wow, do not go here for courtesy or customer service. You should be able to accomplish mailing an item or buying stamps. Bring your thick skin and your patience.

I live in town but keep a PO box elsewhere. Worst of the worst. The post master makes up her own rules, had several interactions with them about things that make your head spin. They either have never read postal regulations, or don't care. Certainly customer service is not a priority.

old lyme is an easy town, i worked up in vernon with real routes. no reason why packages arnt being delivered on time.

Our normal mailman is good. The last few days we have had a substitute mailman. He is a younger guy. I had 3 packages coming today. He was super late and I watched him drive to the mailbox put the mail in and drive away. He did not come in the driveway. He just drove away. Now my packages status is "carrier unable to reach the front door." Really?? You have got to be kidding me!

The team at the Old Lyme post office was nothing short of amazing during the holiday season. I had recently moved to the area and had some issues with my address on some holiday gifts. They helped me track down all packages and also were pleasant to deal with each and every time I came in. Trish and team turned a stressful situation into nothing short of a Christmas Miracle.

Now I have to go down there because some idiot didn't scan in my package and nobody knows where it is. How does that happened? I bet somebody stole it but I will find out. Calling doesn't help either I called twice today and the lady who answered Peggy or whatever her name is was no help at all. I'll stick to old saybrook. If i could have left no stars I would have.

Slow at the counter. Delivery to house is late since around Sept '16 cuz they changed the routes. My mail comes at around 4 pm (used to come at 1:30) which is useless if u have a check coming. Can't cash til the next day. A lot of days no mail at all.
