My experience has been frustrating and disappointing. My initial contact with Griffin was for an issue that needed to be addressed immediately. I was told no exceptions were made and that since I was new patient I had to go through the new patient process which meant I had to wait two weeks for an appointment. I ended up going to urgent care. I did finally get in for an appointment. Since that initial visit I needed care so I tried using the portal and calling in to see if I could talk to someone. I am not sure why they have a portal, it can up to 2 or 3 days before anyone responds, then it is usually at the end of the day at their closing time so there is no chance of actually getting to respond back before they close for the day. The other frustration is instead of providing a useful response they told me to call the office. Now that is impossible. The wait time on a call is typically 10 minutes even when the IVR states your wait time will be less than 5 minutes. I have tried the dial * call back option but I never receive a call back. The Quarry Walk office is very convenient for me although I don't know if the office is so understaffed that there is no administrative staff support along with the doctors are so overwhelmed the wait times are ridiculously long. As much as I want to use their services they are doing their best to drive me away. Oh and if one more person tells me how sorry they are because they know the wait times on the phone are ridiculous...

I really want to like this practice since it’s so close to my home . I called in this morning after coming home not feeling well after international travel . The receptionist was so accommodating and had me come right in to take a test . She informed me someone would call with results soon . I was completely fine with that . I received a call asking me for my pharmacy info and told i would be getting a medication . I asked what the medication was and what it was for . I think that’s an acceptable thing to ask right ? She was so short and rude and acted like I was a complete annoyance . Honestly any other day I might shrug this off but not when I’m already feeling uncomfortable. Please do better !!!

Scheduling can be a little obnoxious, but so far both doctors I've seen have been wonderful. Great demeanor, very friendly. One of them is so soothing, she was able to quell a veritable rage I was in one particularly frustrating afternoon. They seem to genuinely care, and consider your opinions and feelings about your own health, which I feel is important. (They are obviously still the experts, but I appreciate that they're open to hearing your thoughts.) I find this office to be INFINITELY better than their Ansonia location. I will gladly travel the extra 10-15 minutes to go here instead.
