I have been supporting Shelton IGA for 30 years and spend $100/wk not because thet are best but I want to support local. today I bought EggPlant and asked the deli counter if they could slice for me to make egg plant Parm. The young counter person asked the person in charge and her reply was we can't do it. I asked why she said because she was not told to! I asked were you told not to, wondering for a good reason her short response was, Have a nice day sir and turned her back and walked away, I asked as she walked to back room is that customer service?? If it was her reason to not do something because it was not usual is a disgrace and the real blame goes to the training they provide. I will NEVER return. In 30 years I have spent well over $130,000

Very unique place as there are only a couple of them around. The prices are a little bit higher but you can look for things on sale.

Convenient locale on state route 110 (Leavenworth road), in the section of town known as white hills; which is in the Northwestern area of town. Easy to get in_and_out of without waiting in lines.Their baked goods are top shelf and always fresh.

Recently remodeled and it looks great. Added a lot of great stuff, including a bakery dept. You can also find many nice local foods. Deli is great(always has been). Great place and convenient if you live in the White Hills area.

Wonderful home town market with friendly service, super fresh produce, and fair prices when you catch a sale. The only down side is the deli meat is some non premium brand but I go to Stop and Shop for my Boars Head, otherwise its awesome. Highly recommend.

Shop the sales!! Nice clean market with fresh local produce, fresh baked goods, fresh seafood and meats. Fine quality items not found in other grocery stores. Most of items are locally grown or produced. Independent Grocer Association (IGA) Market. Love the friendly knowledgeable people who work there!! Makes for great a time for mundane chore.

Vastly improved after makeover. Now my preferred grocery store due to convenience, prices. Wish they had a more expansive selection of vegetarian items in the frozen food section.

Great supermarket! Adams remodeled the store & it looks great. They have fabulous fresh produce, great meat selection, ready-made dinners for one or family size, fresh seafood, salads, fresh cakes, pies & other tasty desserts. Adam's always has Great prices & sales too. Stop in & you'll see how nice of a market Adam's is.
