Definitely close to the best fried seafood I have ever had. Very friendly and extremely tasty. Emma ate her 2 big peices of fish and said she wished she had more, The gentleman heard her and brought her another piece. I will definitely be coming back....

The full belly clams and the calamari were absolutely perfect! Fresh, crispy and super tasty! The marinara is great, served warmed up, and so is the coleslaw. You can always tell the great place by the attention to those details. And the place is clean and inviting. We were impressed with the kind gentleman behind the counter, too. Needless to say we will be back!

We went with a friend after the boys helped her move a few things. So for a treat and appreciation we went here. We ordered Coconut shrimp, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and a loaded burger ( that may not be the name of the burger), but if you order it it’s the one with a lot of 🥓 yummmmy. We loved everything. The onion rings are crunchy. My older son loved the dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp and the 7 year old started eating the burger without any ketchup and mayonnaise right way. He ate about 90% of the burger w no problem. I guess he was comfortable and hungry😃Which brings me to James the owner. He has the personality that lights a room. He is silly, and very pleasant. If the right song comes on you may get a little singing and some dancing. Wonderful place to take your kids for a nice experience on how a peaceful family night out is supposed to be. Oh and he gives out cookies and brownies for dessert. FOR FREE!!! What business does that????? Just him from my experiences. So far. Social distance precautions have been put into place. I hope for the best for him and his business.

The food was absolutely delicious. We are not from the area and we were looking for places to eat and I'm glad we decided on this one. The fried shrimp was delicious. The breading didn't overpower the shrimp. The corn nuggets were easily my favorite (don't get too many restaurants back home that offer them). The owner is very hands on. He was running the cash register and serving people. I enjoyed his sense of humor, politeness and concern that we were satisfied with our meals. If we are ever back in this area, we will definitely visit this establishment again.

My husband and I stopped here while driving back from a recent trip to Massachusetts. We wanted an easy stop off the highway. The place was about 6 minutes, does not look like much from the outside but man was it good and worth the stop. The customer service was amazing with the friendliest service we have had in a long time. We weren’t sure what to order but the cashier was patient and helpful. The food was delicious and cost effective. We will definitely stop in the future and recommend others to do the same. We highly recommend the clam strips.

My wife and I have been enjoying taking drives to get out of the house during these times. We searched to find a good seafood place for fried shrimp. We read the reviews and decided this would be a good place to try. The food was amazing and fresh. The owner was very kind and treated us more like friends than just customers. We ordered the fish, shrimp, clam strips and clam chowder! Everything was good quality! You can definitely get your seafood fix at the Crazy Clam Digger! Thank you for a great meal!

Do not underestimate this place because of its location. It is terrific. The food is fresh and made to perfection. The fried clam platter is better than anything I've had at the shoreline. The staff is great and the atmosphere is friendly and clearly appreciative of customers, something not seen a lot anymore. A total class act. Makes navigating Wolcott Street totally worth it!

Great find tucked away in a shopping center. Try the special sauce as it is really is special. The combo is terrific with 4 great choices. The staff is very friendly and attentive

Great service and good food! It’s the owner himself, James, who was also serving and he also took the time to have small talks with the customers. The food is great, I love how everything fried is really soft and not too oily. Especially impressed with the batter because it’s not too heavy. The lobster roll is also very meaty, and I also love the crab cakes and the New England clam chowder! Very happy with our experience here. PS: Also like that the posters hung on the walls had the feels or were replicas from the 50’s/60’s. :)
