Run away from this company. I have had two PODS for 10+ years with these crooks. Every time you call to schedule access to the PODS it's an act of congress. They will lie every time on the phone. You will never be able to speak with a manager, they will keep you on hold until you give up. Just the most unethical company I have every dealt with. My suggestion is to never do business with them ever. I will need to contact Ontario Teachers Union as they seem to be the largest investor as no one PODS will get a hold of you. When they damage your items by putting a fork in the side.This company is very bad and should be looked at from a real legal stand point on breach of contracts etc.

Beware the Customer Service Rep will call and lie to you and it is acceptable company practice. Once you pay and they take your stuff, you are stuck. I was told I would get my stuff delivered from CA to TX in 10 days for a little over $6,000, but they took my money, picked up my POD and then cancelled my TX delivery date and moved it out to 20 days after pickup. When I called to complain and waited on hold for almost an hour, I was told the manager refused to talk to me, but the rep said he would call the service department to move back the delivery date to the original date and I would get my stuff in 10 days. The rep even called me back to confirm it was moved back and he spoke to the delivery department. Then two days before my pod was supposed to be delivered, I checked online, and the pod was still in CA. I called and they told me the rep lied and that was okay with the company. He had notes about our call, but he never moved the delivery date. He even noted he told me he would move it but didn't move it. He lied so I would stop holding for a manager and get off the phone. PODS basically told me that he lied, and they would file an internal complaint but that is it and I would still need to wait the additional 20 days to get my stuff. There nothing else they can do and I would just have to wait until they get around to delivering my stuff. Hopefully I'll get it sometime this month. Don't use pods it cost about $1000 more in shipping cost to move to TX and they have horrible customer service. Plus I had to pay another $3000 in hotel and household items while I was waiting for my stuff to show up at my empty TX house. Find another company and save yourself a lot of money and stress. If anything goes wrong with PODS you are out of luck.

I wanted to write a good review but unfortunately I cannot. PODS lost one of our FIVE 16ft PODS (not an inexpensive move). I alerted them that the wrong box# was attached to our account (note always take a pic of your box#) but assured me it was just a "recording" error and the correct POD would be delivered. Of course, wrong POD delivered, It took 2-4 weeks to be resolved. Then charged me for storage for the lost POD. If we need to use portable storage again I will use a different company. It's just too big and too many moving parts for customer service to really be helpful. I can't even count how much time I spent on hold and the number of customer service reps to required to get resolved not to mention the aftermath of trying to get charges refunded. There were probably 3 key people who were helpful.

Avoid pods for long distance moving, at least our experience with was nothing but lies and unprofessional people in customer service. We will never use them again. They told us a payment break down that was not what they charged. They will charge 95% of the total a week before you move and they told us that they would pick it up within a week and we told the customer service that we wanted it 4 days after our drop off and when we checked our account nothing was entered and then we scheduled it and it was for 3 weeks later which then went past the 8th so they want another months rental of the unit. Just avoid the scam artist liars and go with another service it will definitely be cheaper and you might have better customer service.

This place is an absolute joke! Please save yourself the headache and use another company. For starters, the driver in Denver locked the unit, drove off and abandoned our movers and my 30-week pregnant wife (I had just started a job that week so I couldn’t be there). Our movers were in complete disbelief. As you can imagine, we were quite upset at how everything went down (we had to throw out a bunch of our stuff that wouldn’t fit in our car, my wife missed two flights back to Madison because she had to load the unit with what she could by herself, etc.). When we tried to address the situation, we were told that our claim had been assigned to a supervisor, Max Atkinson. We were told our claim would be addressed in 72 hours, maximum time. Three weeks later, we were still trying to get in touch with Max (their customer service reps refused to answer any questions or patch is through to him) and our claim hadn’t even been looked at. When we did finally get through, Max could not have been less helpful or competent. While we waited on a hearing to determine a resolution, we repeatedly requested our unit be shipped from Denver to Madison—it’d been weeks at this point of living in an empty house. Max, after telling us he could schedule the move, never did. I eventually had to fly to Denver, rent a U-Haul, and drive our belongings back. I hope this accurately conveys just how terrible this company is. I tried to break 6 weeks of dealing with them into this short narrative, so hopefully it paints a clear-enough picture of our experience. We should have taken other reviews more seriously before choosing PODS—I certainly hope you will. Stay away! UPDATE: a member of their social media customer advocacy team did respond to an email I sent with my identifying information so they could “look into” our issue. I was told I would hear from an “associate on [their] customer service resolution team” within 24 hours. It’s been a week, and still nothing. Not surprising. This has been their approach this entire time. PLEASE AVOID.

I was suppose to have a POD picked up on Friday and another empty POD dropped off on Saturday. They changed the dates without notifying me to have both pickup and drop off on Saturday, the same day. When I called customer service for answers and help. I get people that do not understand. Also customer service does not have direct communications with the local dispatchers. My questions are simple, why did they change the dates, and can they handle both on the same day with using multiple trucks and wasting time. Their answers were, if you have enough space. But they determined that for me without talking to me. In addition, their customer service people do not take notes to save and inform others about previous conversations with customer. Also the security of their website is weak, just your email and a 4 digit pin.

I would never use PODS again. Their customer service is non-existent and the majority of them are dishonest or clueless with their job. I should have used U-Pack which is much cheaper and has much better reviews. We booked a 16 foot container to move from Sparks NV to Brandon FL. The container was delivered to our home in Nevada on 3/24 and picked up on 3/31 and was supposed to be delivered on 4/15 in Florida. When we left Nevada, we called the customer service to understand the estimated time of delivery. We were told that the estimated time of arrival is not available till the day before. We called again on 4/13 a day early because we had to hire a moving help to unload the container. Both times the customer service did not bother looking up our record and just gave us the standard answer. We arrived at our destination today on 4/14 and called the customer service again. This time we were told the container never left the origin location after it was picked up on 3/31. Why now???? The rep (Alex) put us on hold for nearly 50 minutes researching the situation because he did not see we did anything wrong and told us that it would not be delivered another 2 weeks. We were very upset and asked for a resolution. Then Alex put us on hold and sent our call to his manager's voicemail. We paid $7000 for the container and now we have to spend another $3000 for 2 week stay at a hotel plus my husband could not start his new job for 2 weeks due to his tools unavailable (still in the container). I called back to find a resolution and this time Allie told us that the delay was due to us not signing the rental agreement in time and also that was why our delivery was cancelled. Why did they not bother calling us to let us know that? She booked the new ship date for 4/15 and we were told it would take 10 days for our container to arrive. I asked for her manager but just like all the other reps we spoke with, she would not let us speak to her manager. But she promised to us that her manager, Maria Mejias would call us back tomorrow. We called the customer service again to understand if there was anything that was pending on our end as we were so paranoid. This time Luis told us that he showed that we signed our rental agreement at 7:45pm on 3/31 and he did not see anything wrong with our transaction. Moreover according to Luis, it would take 12 days for our container to arrive after it is shipped. So Allie lied to us. Every customer service rep we spoke to told us different/conflicting information. Clearly PODS customer service needs better training. Allie gave us a $600 credit which was a joke. With all this trouble caused and mistakes made by PODS customer service, we need at least $4000 refund. They should not even charge anything in my opinion. Everyone, please save your money and time by staying away from this company. You can see as many as 1340 complaints filed against PODS with Better Business Bureau. If I do not hear from Maria Mejias tomorrow, I am reporting to BBB, Consumer Affair as well as posting my experience on all social media and public review boards. Will post the update shortly. Nearly 2 weeks later. One generic email from resolution Dept. Zero sincerity. Continue to receive conflicting text messages regarding delivery date which forced us to call PODs customer service. Completely disorganized and dysfunctional.

I moved from California to New York back in September 2021, The initial issue was that my TWO 16' PODS were shipped separately DUE TO TRUCK ISSUE, I was told by the representative. BUT LATER WAS TOLD I was misinformed and that the POD was just a day behind schedule to be delivered to the NY location for storage on two different dates. Secondly, one of my PODS was moved to another location without my permission. When I called to inquire why ONE of my PODS was moved to a further out location I was told that it was in my contract that my PODS can be moved due to spacing needs. HOWEVER, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY PODS WOULD NEED TO BE MOVED TO ANOTHER LOCATION IF THEY WERE ALREADY STORED AT THE ORIGINAL LOCATION THAT I CHOSE TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMERS PODS? MY CONTRACT WAS FOR MOVE AND STORAGE?? IF THE LOCATION I CHOOSE WAS FULL I COULD UNDERSTAND. Lastly, now I am trying to make a Arrangements to Pick up my PODS.... Which I might add, I'm giving them over a month's notice to get my pods from the further location that they moved them to back to the storage location that I chose and now I'm being told that there is an issue with getting my pods move back to that storage location. WHY YOU MIGHT ASK? BECAUSE No one is answering the phones at these locations. So they are unable to schedule my pick up! This is the worst service I've ever received from any company I am so sorry that I use POD. I have been given misinformation from some of the representatives that I've spoken to thus far. All I'm quoted is PODS policy and how they do things. You are not given ETA of any inquiries made by you JUST CALL BACK AND WASTE MORE OF YOUR TIME WITH NO RESOLUTION IN SIGHT! No one cares about the customer no ONE IS worries if the customer is being inconvenienced. NO ONE cares that the customer is not getting the SERVICES THEY PAID FOR!

5 stars for the drivers, -2 stars for the customer service, and -2 stars for their IT department. PODS cancelled our original delivery we set due to the weather. And at the same time, their website was down and we cannot log into our account. As a result, we won't be able to reschedule the delivery on the website and we had to call customer service. They were being very impatient and rude to us on the phone. My wife filed a complaint on Twitter and finally a customer specialist reached out to us and we were finally able to reschedule for the delivery and pick up. PODS never sent us any notice about the estimated time frame of the drop-off and pick up like they advertised and I have to call customer service to find out. The drivers are really nice and helpful though. After they picked up the fully loaded container, we received an email saying that the transit of our container was cancelled as we didn't accept the agreement. But to accept the agreement, we will need to log into our account which has been a known issue for a week. I. don't understand why it would take their IT department so long to simply just fix a 500 Internal Service Error. And now, we have no choice but to wait until the website gets fixed. Due to this beyond annoying experience, we had to reschedule/cancel movers at both our old and new addresses. We were seriously thinking about cancelling the process with PODS but we still decided to go with them and here's how we've been treated. Oh and on top of that, they overcharged us and we had to call them to drop the charge.
