The store manager, April is a nut. If there's a home office or a regional manager, they need to be made aware that she purposely and deliberately misuses emergency services to torment employees on what would be their last day. I believe a hefty fine is imposed for such offenses and I will follow any and all necessary steps to be sure that one is imposed for the stunt this woman pulled the other night. Beware potential shoppers, if she is willing to harass an employee in such a manner, what is she capable of doing to you? As long as this lunatic is in Dollar General's employee I will never step foot in any of their stores, not while trash like her is there...

8 people in line 1 cashier who was so nasty I tired 2 use self check but it didn't work I called corporate. I shoo there all the time but this last experience I will never spend my money there. I do not recommend dollar tree at all

Store Manager is very friendly and helpful. (I don't know her name). Some of the store shelves are very disorganized. Messy. The floor is old and tired. Actually, the entire store severely needs a complete remodel or close and relocate to another location. Item prices are decent, there are some great deals with coupons.

Nice cashiers, but store is usually under stocked and not very organized. Little concerned that cashiers are not wearing mask during the Pandemic and talking around the plexy glass, but other than that they are very helpful and nice.Has really changed for the better.

It was the Dollar General down on Tamiami trail. That store is always so Jim pack of items needed to be put out on the shells and I noticed the other day they finally did that and then you look at the floor and that doesn't look like it's been mop in years. The only good thing about going in there for a couple things I needed was a gal that was so friendly to everyone would run like a deer from the cash register to wherever the item as you're asking about the she would come back with it immediately and not holding up other customers. However they ask her to step down Because her lazy boss who is never seen and always on theie phone playing games. You just don't feel welcome in the store you feel like they're interrupting them. I will never go in that store again after I found out what I did today. The best work for in that store and may basically ask her to step down with she refused to do and she just walked out. Congratulations to you Jodi.

Understaffed as always, the store was in complete disarray. I felt so bad for the solo cashier. I told her she must be the hardest working woman in Port Charlotte. When another employee showed up, she parked herself next to the other cashier and proceeded to clean her phone screen. Very sad and bad experience, unfortunately, not surprising. Boo Dollar General!

I had a very pleasant experience. The Super cashiers made me feel quite welcome as I arrived and as I was exiting. I also found the items I needed during my shopping experience. Thanks I feel comfortable shopping at this location.

This Dollar General is a great place to come to. That is, recently speaking. A new manager arrived a bit ago and a transformation is underway! (Tim) If you can be patient and believe me when I say, " Quality, Price, Happiness, and all the benefits of what we expect from Dollar General, are in the works!" I see it right in my neighborhood, and I'm extremely pleased.

Love Dollar General. Good assortment of items at prices that beat those in larger department stores that advertise "at low, low prices". I especially like the decorative items for the home as well as the linens - can't beat the prices. Also fresh stock comes in frequently so there's usually something that catches my eye everyone I go there!
