i love coming here. it's hands down my favorite restaurant. i'm from valdosta and i always come here when i visit town. i've tried many mexican restaurants in and around valdosta and douglas but el 1800 remains my favorite. the varierty is great, the portions are big, and the food is always super delicious and comes out hot. the chips and salsa are the best. the margaritas are delicious. the atmosphere is great. the daily specials they have are always so yummy. all the employees are friendly and quick. the owners do a great job running this place and the service and food definetly peaks leading into and during dinner time. i've had some bad service sometimes when the owners weren't in and that's the only issue but everyone has their off days. i wish they'd have special nights for live music like they used to, i'd definetly bring around friends and family for that. but this remains my fav spot! i highly recommend

We stopped in for dinner tonight and we were sorely disappointed. We ordered cheese dip with jalapeños expecting the jalapeños to be pickled and they were fresh instead with limited flavor. While the thin chips were good, the salsa had a huge, almost whole tomato in it making it difficult to even begin eating. I ordered combination 3 and my husband ordered combination 15. Both meals were beef tacos, chili rellinos and one combo had a burrito and the other an enchilada. Both meals where tasteless with the burrito having a spice that was very off putting. Service was adequate but should have been excellent with the number of wait-staff standing around doing nothing. Save your time and money and go to Taco Bell. At least there you know what to expect.

Absolutely awful experience. We happen to be traveling through town and stopped here for supper. Service was terrible and food was not good. We needed more drinks and finally got the watresses attention to get more drink. We needed more napkins because the waitress spilled juice from one our meals all over the table, we never could get her attention for the napkins. She never asked if we needed anything. Each meal took 10 minutes between the next person getting their plate. The steak strips were burnt in my burrito and I never got the rice and beans. The other food did not taste good. Never again for this restaurant.

Visiting family, then this is a great family place to dine. From the authentic homemade chips and guac to the chicken burrito which was more chicken than most places use, this food was amazing. They had it all: friendly staff, clean dining, and excellent food (not too spicy but just right for me).

Super slow service. Food was bland . Only one of the 3 meals had flavor. Steak was tough and super fatty. Although the mushrooms on top were amazing. The enchilada was flavorless and the nachos were pretty good.

First time trying, came in with low expectations and was highly disappointed. Food was beyond mediocre and bland. It should be an insult to call a dog food stuffed bell pepper a Chile releno. My taco was bland and the shell was half stale, and the burrito had the same dry dog food consistency "beef" and had a red sauce that tasted like chef boyardee. The only thing I could possibly recommend here for is if you want a huge margarita, cause they got a 32oz, but I guess they serve large servings of booze so you can't taste the bad food. If you want Mexican, than go to Pancho Villa...

Went for a birthday party for my grandma. The Texas style 1800 special is a must try. Our waitress was excellent the whole time. We had so much going on with so many families for one party and she handled it like a pro. We will definitely visit again soon Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes … More

Ordered a margarita on the rocks but wanted it with half sour mix half club soda to remove some of the sugar. How did my price get doubled when the same tequila (Jose) was used. Almost $20 per drink for a med margarita?? Food was good and bartender was nice. But little ridiculous on the up charge

Super yummy spot!! The outreach margarita was well balanced and fresh. The Texas fajitas were sizzling and delicious as was the Spanish rice. The chips were thin and crispy with flavorful salsa! The staff were all friendly and very attentive. I highly rickety this place Features: Hand sanitizer available inside
