This is a review in progress - it may change as our work with Argus continues. We signed a contract in June for Argus to design our home and prepare our building permit. He said the process takes ~3 months. It is now November, and we still expect many weeks before submitting our permit. Argus was very responsive when we first met, but once we signed the contract, we primarily worked with Grace and everything got slow and disorganized. - a minor change in our site plan took 2-3 weeks - we originally asked for post & pier but they designed for a slab - they put the wrong address on our designs and septic permit multiple times; it's OK to make a mistake, but they haven't been able to correct the address for 6+ weeks As I wrote above, this review is in progress. We hope things improve and that we can submit our building permit soon.

They sell individual racks of nails for your nail gun only place in town that'll do that. Great for when you're on a shoestring budget. Helpful friendly employees however lumber prices are usually higher than the rest.

Both Grace and Argus are awesome people! My husband and I went in to ask questions and we ended up buying all the plans and permits for our house! Everything so far has went smoolthy and Argus is by far way more affordable than HPM. We are going to them again for our other rental property (creating affordable housing in HI) to get 3 more houses!!! Love Argus!!!

They have a staff name Grace and she is awfully rude. Doesn't update the customer on the status of the order. When you call to follow-up, she will answer in a sarcastic tone. It's been more than 2 months and I still didn't get what we ordered.

I was trying to build a house because I lost a home in kapoho. I was out of my element, ignorant of how to do this enormous task. Fortunately my excavator referred me to ARGUS at ARGUS BUILDING SUPPLY. Since I got to meet Argus, everything was made more understandable for me. He is honest. He is patient. He with listens to me and tries to help. I have been calling him my guardian angel ever since I met him. He even dreamed up a solution to my unbuildable - as drawn - inside corner lanai roof. When I say dreamed I mean, he woke in the morning and he had the solution. I did not pay any more than I would have if I had gone to the other building materials places, that is my hunch about prices at ARGUS I have a deep gratitude for all that he has done to make my house framing achievable
