I ordered a book subscription as a gift in April 2024 for almost $200 and never received it. I have been in touch several times and I get a response that 'the owner has been notified' and nothing. I now see on MapQuest that this place is 'permanently closed'. So it seems they are taking money for subscriptions without any intention of fulfilling them. Scam! Stay away.

Sweetest staff I’ve ever met! I loved talking to them and getting there book suggestions! It’s small but there is a great selection. It’s in a wonderful area of Evanston but is a little hidden. You could walk by and miss it if you aren’t paying attention.

My daughter gifted a subscription to me for my birthday..... I absolutely love it!! The personal touch by staff of making my monthly selection is such a great idea. After 7 months I’ve yet to be disappointed. I look forward to a new book every month, and they never disappoint. This organization is head and shoulders above the other book clubs I’ve been in .... all the way down to the beautiful and unique packaging of the parcel itself. They’ve got a customer for life here. Thank you to the staff and owner. Extraordinary!!

Given a gift for Christmas, filled out form and have not heard from them to date. Have left phone message, email message, no response. Tried again today, sent email and phoned. Don't recommend. Should give no stars.

Awful. The owner is rude. I got a nasty reply when I requested a replacement for a lost shipment. Avoid at all costs.
