Purchased sushi here. The avocado was spoiled inside the sushi rolls. If I had time to go back and return I would but stopped to pick up lunch and needed to get back to work. Instead my lunch needed up in the trash.

Kim in the pharmacy is wonderful. When I was too sick to enter the store, she went above and beyond! I needed numerous prescriptions and OTC vitamins to buy. Kim was happy to gather everything for me, let me pay over the phone, and brought everything out to my car. She had a great attitude about it too! I was so very thankful. Fantastic customer service! Thank you, Kim!

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes through the Palatine Mariano’s bakery and we’re so happy we did! Mariano’s offered options that helped keep our dessert cost in check and working with their team was really easy. Not only was our desert ready on time, but our cake and cupcakes were delicious!! My absolute favorite was the 10” vanilla buttercream cake with a sugar crystal base and frosting that looked like it was delicately dripping. We only took a bite during our cake cutting, but had to keep coming back for more — it was THAT good. Thanks bakery team, we appreciate you!

Such a frustrating store. For some reason they find it necessary to move things around every week making shopping a tedious chore. They do this in the hope you will spend more but all it does is frustrate customers and I end up not buying what I need. Jewel, Woodmans, and Whole Foods don’t do this so come on Mariano’s stop doing it. Use your staff to help customers. The deli counter is an example of poor use of staff. One lady was working all on her own and there were 8 customers in line. There was a young girl stacking shelves in deli who refused to help out. The lady finally found a guy to help her serve customers. By this time you had 6 frustrated customers. I applaud your use of disabled staff for packing of groceries but they need some further training. Just putting groceries in a bag with no thought for how they are packed means a disaster when customers get home with crushed or spoiled items. The best thing about your store is the pharmacy where the staff are friendly, helpful and good listeners.

Had our daughters 2nd birthday Saturday. Chose to spend our hard earned $500 on catering here for our small gathering. Was called at 7am waking us up saying our chicken kabobs we ordered were not available due to shipment but rest of the order was ready. That was our main course so panic set in. And the 7am call was a bit early on a saturday but oh well. Who needs sleep before hosting? We were set for a 10 am pick up. We arrived around noon and was let down a second time when we saw chicken, peppers, red onions, and skewer sticks were all present. We go to pick up our apps ( as a family member stayed home making kabobs from jewel ) and was let down a 3rd time when we were told at the counter at pick up the shrimp tray was not made. We waited. They scrambled and made one. And we rushed home already late for our event to get disappointment 4. The chopped salad we ordered and paid for was replaced with a lettuce medley and carrot shavings. Not the chopped salad we were billed for. We already had the disappointment ball rolling and got so upset over the whole ordeal we do not even want to bother going back in person to ask for the difference back. If you need a random item off the shelf this location can probably handle it. Anything involving counter help, orders, or catering I would avoid this place like the plague. And absolutely do not rely on anything as a host from this place unless you have over 24 hrs notice to pick up and deal with delays, missing items, and unexpected substitutions.

Over the past few months I’ve noticed expired items on the shelves at this location. A couple months ago I made a complaint and the employee said “well we’re short staffed and don’t have people to y pull the items.” He did not apologize and seemed annoyed. Last week I purchased organic strawberries and a loaf of bread. The strawberries were not good and the bread had white stuff on it that I did not notice until I got home. Today I went to return the items without the receipt because I had lost it. The return policy online states that you can get a store credit without a receipt. The manager, Matt was extremely rude and made an unprofessional remark. He also refused to return the items despite the return policy. Matt lied & said the store policy changed last month when that was not true. The customer service at this store is horrible.

As soon as I enter the store, there is a cart ready wiped and ready to use. I like how is the masks required wearing inside the store. That's my ultimate decision why I go to this store for the safety of both customers and employees. For sure I will go this store more often.

I have been shopping at Kroger stores for years, but I am new to the area and thus this store. Tonight when trying to buy alcohol, naturally I was ID’d. I have never had my ID rejected by other Kroger stores, but the person refused to even look at my ID saying it’s “policy” to not accept vertical IDs? Is this REALLY true? Sounds like someone is just making up ID rules. I really wanted to like this store, but this was honestly an embarrassing and frustrating experience—definitely not something you would expect in a grocery store, especially when I was within my right. I am not sure I will be returning after this incident and will look for better alternatives who actually know how to check IDs

I’ve had five different employees act rudely to me since I’ve been shopping here. I actually prefer to go to Arlington heights Mariano’s because of this. Most the employees are unprofessional and treat customers like garbage. Do not come here
