Don't go there if you're afraid of Covid19. Morning cashier (never wears a name tag) has not been wearing her mask. 4 out of 5 days this week it's been around her neck. When she did wear it her nose was not covered. She has only worked there for a month or 2 but she needs to be fired.

We get gas once a week here and the women's bathroom is always disgusting!! The yellow caution wet floor sign is always up in there yet it never looks like the floor has been mopped. Today the sanitary napkin holder was overflowing and there was blood dripping down the back wall. Please clean your bathrooms!!!

E85 out of commission, as of this review Casey's down the street has it and is a much nicer gas station overall. The window squeegee was also worn out and didn't function well.

Why I am giving this location a 3 star and thought about giving it a two star. The customer service for the most part is not too bad except sometimes going to the cafe part. I go in there every day before I start work but besides the point since they got the cafe I wondered about it at first. One problem but not too big on my part is I have ordered the breakfast wrap several times. Two times I have had the sausage come back cold on the second time I had it remade. Then I noticed why was I eating sausage from a gas station so I ordered my breakfast wrap without the sausage and yesterday morning I didn't think to check my wrap. Well when getting to work that is right down the street and starting to eat it the egg was cold in the middle. Straight to the dumpster which I have done before with a wrap from there, wasted money. It kind of makes you think even when in doubt should I stop and eat something from there. My only advice is if you ever eat something from there to save having to make a scene from getting an undercooked meal is to check the meal before you even pay for it. The wait is worth it because then it will give some of the workers that made an honest thought when it comes to food make it right with how the order is supposed to be and cooked 100%. The reason why I say check food from the cafe before you pay is because if it is undercooked especially in the middle a spot where you don't normally notice if you didn't pay then not sitting there while they remake it is not an option. With being aloud to just leave instead of looking for your money to be refunded standing in line can be more irritating then if it's not cooked right to just up as no leave. Overall before the cafe and gaining a couple employees that show attitude, laziness and etc... The store front is clean and now before the cafe I would have given 5 stars no problem. When you ask someone to make sure they don't put sausage on it just one egg and cheese I feel like you shouldn't have to because when my order that I made goes through it shows what I had taken off. It is not rocket science take care and provide good customer service. Think when people come to your location buying things that is what pays paychecks. If a store hits a snag which many think it's impossible for any reason especially like a few encounters I had things get investigated in time. Your customers is what helps you get your paychecks and anything is possible so my suggestion make sure your customers are taken care of and get rid of fuzzy strawberries that work for your company. One day if the cafe and a few of the workers I smell a law suit coming along. I'm getting ready to go into work today so everyone just pay attention to what's going on and what's being served even when asking politely. Just think eventually in time workers are evaluated and they can decide to let you go so cherish the opportunity at hand of them allowing you to work there and not replacing anyone can be replaced no matter what the position. Overall nice gas station, a few bad experiences with the cafe but as long as the cafe has been open someone should be evaluating the customer service presented with that and more attention should be showed there. Very clean and organized store front, could use new chip readers at the cash registers though and chip readers that can tell the difference between us debit and Visa debit or us credit and Visa credit. Different cards should not read the same but that is something small more importantly when your chip and card is good having to pull it out sticking it back in is not good adding unnecessary time when having to do it 5 times sometimes that's also a sign something like that machine needs replaced as well.

Bathroom was nice and clean. Cannot comment on staff, as I only interacted with a lake county sheriffs deputy. It seems that this speedway location has an unwritten and unpublished rule that if you have a bowel movement lasting longer than 7 minutes, the law enforcement is contacted without warning. It seems that this is quite inconvenient, considering this locations close proximity to Chicago (and all the culinary experiences that come with that). Coffee was probably good, but I was told to leave by the deputy before I could sample such fare. I was able to finish my bowel movement in peace, though. I suppose after investigating the potential crime against porcelain, the cost of subjecting oneself to the odors of colorically deprived Chicago style pizza consumed in large quantities was deemed to be too great. I don't blame them, as I was on the verge of contacting ems to see if my insides were falling out. I do appreciate the safety concern, however I must provide 1 star since I was not really planning on participating in a poovestigation.

Usually pretty busy, but still a quick stop and it's in a great location! They do not have a car wash, but they have diesel and kerosene. The convenient store has a huge selection of goods, including prepared food. Restrooms are also pretty clean and inside.

got gas and lotto tickets at this location on 2-2-16. the guy doing the lottery tickets couldn't add my total due and wanted to charge me more. Then I gave him 3 different power ball tickets with power play. Didn't check my tickets until I got home and noticed they were all the same tickets. 3 tickets with the same numbers. Always check your tickets before you leave the cashier and make sure they add correctly. I better win something today!
