Really nice guys at this shop! They were knowledgeable, quick, efficient and very friendly, which I am extremely grateful for. Bringing a baby with you to an auto shop is not a bag of fun because you never know how long it's going to take and how good your baby is going to be. They had me in and out, wham bam thank you mam. Fixed my exhaust problem, and now I have no problems! My baby didn't even have time to get fussy! You want it done quick, right, and with a smile, go to Midas! By far the worst experience I've had with my vehicle. Trusted them with a very expensive vehicle, and they botched a small wheel bearing job with their incompetent mechanics. They were in way over their head with a small wheel bearing job, and I've had to take my vehicle to competent mechanics to straighten out the terrible job done at the location in Michigan city Idiana..For this reason, I wouldn't recommend Midas to repair a go cart... Amazing!! 10 out of 10 we were traveling on I90 East when a tractor trailer lost a piece of wood and we had no choice but to hit it or cause an accident and it insanity blew my front right tire. After we got off to the side of the road safely and gathered our thoughts Midas in Michigan City was our closes garage to call and ask for help, this happened on a Saturday (of course) at about 3pm and they told us to get our spare on and get to them safely and about an hour later after our gps failed us and we arrived to them 10 minutes before closing and they were still willing to help us. Their kindness and all their advice with dealing with our insurance was beyond a blessing after such a scary incident! They even shared some cookies with our girls while we waited for our car!! If Google would allow for ZERO STARS, that's where I would want it. I had no other option but to use Midas in Michigan City, IN for my new tires as they were the only people I could reach on a late Saturday morning. This place is a complete scam. They quoted me a price on two new tires due to my current tire having a side wall puncture. I had to stay in town an extra day since they were closed on Sundays. That's reasonable. I came in on Monday after they had received my 2 new tires. The price was double what I was quoted on Saturday. Dean, the "Manager"/ a.k.a con artist, stuttered his way through an explanation. I had a 10 hour drive ahead of me so I was not going to sit there and argue about it all morning. The next day I called Midas and Dean again rammbled his way through an "explanation". He couldn't explain why Midas's website gave me a quote for what I had done that was higher than my original quote on Saturday, but still considerably lower than what he had charged me the previous day. He said he would have customer service call me. I'm still waiting on that call to take place. Stay away from Dean AND Midas if you cherish your hard earned money. Service: Tires

Great customer service! Van broke down in the middle of our road trip & they got us in the shop right away.. They weren't able to make a repair, but they were very accommodating & thoughtful. Thanks for all your help guys, especially for it being 30 min before close on a Saturday!

Came in Saturday morning for an oil change. I had an appointment for 8am and they got me right in Deano, Kyle, Barry and Bobbie are a great group of professionals! My oil change and courtesy check were done in a very short amount of time and have me back out in the road. I will definitely be back. Service: Oil change

Be very careful of Midas in Michigan city had a throttle body unit replaced for 900$ and they put the boot on wrong. Also didn’t relearn the throttle or reset codes. Car died several times driving on highway almost caused accident. Luckily was able to make it to wallen auto and they were able to fix it. They will not refund my money

Got off the highway with a low pressure alert. Pulled into Midas and received fast service and friendly customer service. Replaced the tires that picked up up road debris and on my way. Thanks for the great job today. Service: Tires

So i went in to get my car's transmission replaced and decided it would be easier to just get my brakes (rear) done at the same time even though I was quoted a good price at another place. I looked on groupon to see if there were any deals and low and behold there is a $299 deal for rotors and brakes, which is suppose to save me $100. Keep in mind I was quoted at another place for less than $350, so this was around my price range. Fine print does say additional fees may apply for trucks and luxury vehicles, none of which applied to me. So I called up about it and it they said they would take it. I tell them I want the cheapest brakes since Im selling my car soon and they say they only have one price. I said fine as long as I get the deal. I go in to pay and WITH the groupon it's $429. Sounds like a deal right? Except Im out a total of $729 adding in the groupon. I did the math and I was overcharged. I brought it to the manager Kyle's attention, he said he gave me the groupon. Ya. he gave me the $299, but again I paid too much. After I told him I would have gotten it cheaper at Belle Tire, he said "THEN GO TO BELLE TIRE" I would have, but they already did the service! I call there "corporate line" and spoke to a man named Pete. After looking into it he said I was overcharged and that he could give me "vouchers" for future service. I didn't want the voucher's because I was selling me car and soon to be moving. What I NEEDED is my money back because now Im over budget. After asking to speak to his boss, Pete hung up on me. Now I called the customer service line for MIDAS, which is the national line and told them what happened. They said an email will be sent to the owner, store manager, and the district and that I would hear back from someone within 72 hours. I got a call back shortly which they identified themself as the "customer service rep" for my complaint. After telling him my story and how I was told to go Belle Tire, and being hung up , as well as being over charged, the rep said "Im sorry but our policy strictly forbids giving refunds, only vouchers for future service" . NO REFUNDS?? LOl. I refused the vouchers and before I got a chance to say goodbye, I was hung up on, again. 100% true story. I hope they enjoy the extra money they took from me because it earned them a one star review. Decide for yourself if this place is for you. It certainly isnt and never will be again for me.
