We had their pizza and it was the best we've had. The staff were very good. We appreciate a family owned business.

Tried their tomatoe, basil, & mozzarella bruschetta. It was okay, nothing unique. Wish it was a little more toasty. I tried their Homemade Martini, was DELICIOUS! The stuffed chicken breast, the chicken on it's own was good, the cheese was a little more on the burnt side and the sauce a little salty. The service from the serving staff was phenomenal. Can't say the same for those that looked like management. It felt like they think they are more than what they really are. I couldn't even get a thank you for your business. I usually don't like to write reviews on the first visit , but I really don't see myself coming back. I enjoy visiting restaurants that people claim they are unique. The look of the restaurant is very unique, but managers create the atmosphere and this lady apparently doesn't care about her customers. I was able to feel her energy from the second I walked in. Very angry lady and doesn't know her identity yet at her age. Bring your nose down lady, you look silly & humble yourself. Whomever still brings business to you don't know their worth, have low self-esteem and/or is use to being treated. Not me honey, your restaurant is NOT the best in town. Munster should be ashamed of you being located in their better side of town.

What a horrible, humiliating experience my family had at Cafe Borgia. If I could give negative stars I would. 1) The manager seated us at a table by the kitchen where it is very loud. The kitchen is very open to the dining room and you have full sight and sound of the kitchen operations. One of our family members has mild autism and is sensitive to noise. When I gently asked to be seated somewhere quieter for this family member she was clearly agitated and said “then you’ll just have to wait”. The restaurant was only about 30% full. There were empty tables everywhere. 2) We have a family member who has life threatening allergies to milk and eggs. Most restaurants are very kind and go out of their way to keep her safe. Not Cafe Borgia. The waitress, Jules B, was rude and clearly didn’t want to be bothered with special requests. She then informed us that we would be charged extra for any accommodations for the allergy. Although shocked, we proceeded to order but she wouldn't assure us that she would alert the kitchen to the allergy issue. She had a horrible attitude and made this family member feel embarrassed and ashamed. 3) I ordered a dinner salad but was apparently confused it did not contain any leafy greens— only cucumbers and tomatoes. When I asked if I could change the order or add greens she refused and said “I’ll just have to charge you for another salad.” Ok I get it, that was my mistake but the rude behavior and lack of concern for customer service was shocking. 4) Before our meal came, I asked the manager if it was customary to charge extra for food allergy accommodations. I was very polite. Her answer, on the contrary, was not. “Yes. If the options that come with the meal have an allergen, just don’t eat them! If we change it to accommodate the customer, you’ll be charged extra.” I told her that I was shocked and disappointed at the treatment we were receiving and that I had never experienced a restaurant to be so careless regarding food allergy safety and have so little concern for customer service. She abruptly snapped at me and said, “ok, pay your bill and you can go elsewhere to get better service.” The waitress brought the bill for the salads and pressured us to leave before we had finished eating them. Just before leaving I asked the manager for the owners contact information. She pointed at her chest and announced, “ I AM THE OWNER!”. We were treated as if we were hostile or difficult, but on the contrary, our requests were not so demanding. Any reputable establishment would never treat their customers this way. We paid the bill and left. We will never return. I urge you to do the same.

I stopped by at random expecting a soup and sandwich place but it's a full-blown Italian restaurant. I came in as a party of one and was promptly sat even though it was extremely busy on account of Mother's Day. Service was very quick including the entree (seafood linguine w/ white wine sauce) portions were quite large. The staff was hustling and bustling and seemed like a well-oiled machine despite the Mother's Day crowd. -Would definitely come back: 5-stars.

So PATRONS BEWARE! Stopped here for work after dinner...ordered the eggplant parmesan. Both mine and my husband's was overcooked with a chewy rind. We asked to talk to the manager. Our waitress where we were seated in the bar area said she was the bar manager. My husband asked to talk to the restaurant manager. We have NEVER met a more OBNOXIOUS owner/manager! We told her about our entrees, and she proceeded to say"let me taste it." WHAT??!! Was she seriously going to taste the food off our plates we had taken a few bites of??!! Then she proceeded to tell us their policy is no returning of food/taking it off your bill. She told us we could order something else but would be charged for it. We told her we have NEVER been to a restaurant that has treated their patrons that way. She said "I don't care. How do you think I have stayed in business for 37 years?" Then proceeded to tell us to leave and never come back. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Let me tell you...she would NEVER make it as a restaurant owner or manager in Chicago, Vegas, New York or any big city where patrons are valued and treated with respect. What a sad life she must have. Don't worry bitter woman, we will NEVER return to your restaurant again! And I advise any other patrons to make sure you are aware of her "no return" policy when ordering. She needs a disclaimer on her menu stating that. Miserable woman....

The food here was amazing and the service was top notch. This was our first dining here and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious. My wife had the chicken Alfredo and I had the braised lamb shank. Both dishes were great! I highly recommend this place, you’ll love the food, service and the environment!

We visited on a Saturday at 5pm and it was pretty crowed yet the atmosphere was very pleasant. Service is top notch you feel welcomed the moment you walk in and our server Freddy was amazing! The food was delicious 2 of us had Fettuccine Alfredo and my mom had the pizza. We also tried the cannolis they were out of this world. We will definitely be back again!

Our family had four different dinners. My daughter had fettuccine Alfredo and it had absolutely no taste at all. Everyone at our table tried it and we all came up with the same conclusion. We asked the waitress if we can get something different, she said they would still have to charge us for the plate. The manager never came over there on her own we had to ask to speak with her. I explain to her that we all tried the food and it was very bad because we wanted to make sure it just wasn’t my daughter. The problem I have is there was no help to try to fix it, such as remake it or give us something different. Their only suggestion was give us extra Alfredo sauce. I couldn’t believe that the lady who I thought was the manager turned out to be an owner and she actually said don’t tip the waitress but pay for the the plate. I never would’ve thought that a $18 fettuccine Alfredo would mean more to a person than making it right for a customer and the worst part of it all is to make a comment like that in front of your waiters. The other three dinners actually taste very good.

The service is exemplary! The food was amazing as was the desert. They even sang Happy Birthday to my 91 year old father. Everything was outstanding.
