Solid place to get a meal. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it was pricey. I got a solid amount of food, but walked out spending 40 bucks just by myself. A little steep, but worth it for a random trip. The burger was great and greasy. The fries were good as well as the milkshake. Would recommend as long as you're okay with spending a decent amount of money!

Bela was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Very friendly and was on her A game today! Checked on our table often and had other tables as well. We never had an empty drink, and gave us just the perfect amount of time to settle in and decide. Food came out in 7 minutes hot and delicious!

Awesome place! My girlfriend found it in a Google search. Great atmosphere and professional staff. I'm saving the best for last!! 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 The burger is the main reason for my 5 star rating 😋 👌 😀 Delicious!! Fyi: The burgers 🍔 are very large!! 👀👀

A trip to another restaurant put us across the street from Shoops. A very plain and unassuming exterior does not do the inside justice. Very clean and surprisingly popular. Counter service is also available. Hamburgers are smashed on the griddle and get a crispy edge to them. This is a small Northwest Indiana chain well worth stopping at. Other locations do not appeal to me as much as this one was right for a nice meal

It was clean, comfortable and cozy. Our server was very friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. The food was great, the service was fast and the helpings were generous. The men's rest room was clean also. 2 thumbs 👍

There's only a few places to get Schoop's, and yet I would travel however far I needed to get some Irish Nachos and a Green River. I just had my first Gen River Malt the last time around. Definitely worth a stop.

This place USED to be good! Highly disappointed in this last visit. As a child I remember this place being so good. The staff USED to be nice as well. This time I walked in and immediately there were at least 3 dirty tables. Only one girl working while the rest sat at the bar eating. As we sat down one of the girls sitting down eating loudly made a statement. So loudly the whole store heard her say "really their going to sit at the table I just clean" while proceeding to stuff her face. Needless to say I didn't want her to get my tip and we left. So incredibly RUDE!

Food was great. Waitress was a little slow at the game. Even messed up the order by not putting in on of the meals. Then it came just cheeseburger no fries. We wasn't saying nothing. We had the bill before the burger.

First timer, hubby and I stopped here after leaving the beach. Old school diner charm, pleasant staff and great food! The pic doesn't do this burger justice. It's big, it's filling and I would definitely visit here again. Can't forget the homemade chili on the chili cheese fries. 🤤
