This is a test response for your new posts. I will be curious to see how this appears on other websites. This popped up easily and was easy to complete.

I’ve utilized the services of several different sewing machine dealers over the last 30 years, and this one is the best! The staff are all pleasant , patient and knowledgeable. Their classes are excellent and well worth the time. And they give special perks and great service to those who purchase their machines from them. They remember my name from the first day I walked in, and are very easy and reasonable to work with. That business has been around for several generations, and this is why. Highly recommend!

West Side has kept my old Pfaff in good repair for many years. Recently, I purchased a new Husqvarna embroidery machine as a replacement. A member of the staff spent many hours guiding me through all the capabilities of the new machine until I could confidently use it with ease on my own. Subsequently, I have attended several classes, led by instructors who have inspired and expanded my creativity. Every class has been a delightful time spent with other sewists, sharing ideas, and learning new techniques. The staff is friendly, helpful, and patiently answer my questions. They somehow know what I need. West Side is a wonderful place to come to for the creative mindset.

I have been a customer at Westside Sewing for 10+ years. I recently took a class called "A Bag for Everything". The instructor, Shelly W., was awesome, she went above and beyond by creating a "tips to know" document for the class. In addition, she made "A Bag for Everything" for herself right along with us. Shelly's patience and humor made the class relaxing and enjoyable.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I entered this store today in hopes that I could find some advice and accessories to help me with a project. I was asked what kind of sewing machine that I used, and when I told the representative, she informed me that this was a “throw away” machine. When she asked if my machine had a certain part, I told her that I wasn’t sure, and she made a comment as to people not being educated about their machine. I am not a beginner, but not anywhere near as skilled as I would hope West Side’s employees would be. So, I left this store absolutely deflated and nearly in tears with no suggestions, advice, or products to assist me in my endeavor. I will never return.

Went to West Side Sewing looking for an easy project. I’m fairly new to sewing. Over 40 years since sewing classes in school. Shelly was able to answer all my questions and helped me to pick out a project that was perfect for me. I will be a repeat customer at West Side Sewing.

In March 2021 I purchased a Brilliance 75Q from West Side Sewing. I fell in love with this machine and it’s ease of use. They offered a one on one class initially and multiple other classes and support! I ended up also falling in love with all of the aspects of quilting, from piecing to the actual quilting. Fast forward to May 2022 and I thought I wanted a long arm, so back to WSS. I realized I could have a larger opening with an Epic 95Q and make the free motion quilting I do easier and would fit in the cabinet I already had. Once again I am in love with this amazing machine and the support WSS offers. I will only buy Husqvarna Viking machines and from West Side!!!!

Bought a new?? machine.... the machines straight stitch looks just like its knit stitch. Then to add to the issues, the machine had clearly been in and out of it's box a number of times. When compared to other boxes....in fact, I would guess this machine has been returned more then once. The inside edges of the box (with matching serial numbers ) are soft and turned in. We all have ordered enough to know weather issues on a box and one where the box is floppy and broke down. ..... but the worst was the almost 500usd restocking fee ( even looked up the weather, to see if the box had gotten wet. Based on the ups tracking label the trip from tn to ia was dry)...the bobbin was properly seated, the machine stitched wonky in training and I tried refusing the machine then. But was encouraged to go home and work w the settings. Once home it was clear. Not a settings issue. It only sewed straight on 6 layers of fabric or with stabilizer ( note they test using stabilized fabric) ..... I was very disappointed but ended up buying a brand they do not carry, that has a strong motor and perfect stitch.

I agree with previous comments. Was fine purchasing the machine there. Service is terrible! My one year old Sapphire stopped working. 10 to 12 days to even look at it. I was going south for the winter in 5 days. I called another Viking dealer and he troubleshooted over the phone and told me to bring it in right away and he would fix it before I leave in 5 days. I just picked it up.

It was very nice buying a machine here. It is -not- very nice to get your machine -serviced- here. The man who works on them is extremely rude. Not just to customers but to the employees as well. He's condescending and argumentative. He did not give anything close to an accurate estimate of how much the repair was going to cost, only telling me about how much the part would cost, which was only about a quarter of the total repair price. All repairs I have to leave my machine with them for 10 to 12 days, even if my machine is still functional and I can still use it while parts come in. I'd pick West Side Sewing over Pine Needles, but I'm sure there's some place with better repair services.
