Lunch on Wednesday was very relaxing. Ate on deck overlooking the Turkey River. Schera's was our destination on a motorcycle ride. Will definitely come again

Had a much needed girl time lunch on the deck..it was fabulous! Would recommend it to anyone.. We waited a little bit. But the site of the river, conversation and good drinks..made it so worth every bite! Can't wait for the next visit.

Fantastic experience, they have a craft beer selection several pages long, with a lot of rare varieties, and a whole page of sours. The food was excellent, I ordered spicy shrimp tagine and my companion ordered falafel, both were delicious and perfect. We finished it with baklava for dessert. A must-stop on a visit to Elkader.

Incredible beverage selection, unmatched in the state, especially for eclectic craft beers and natural wine. Very scenic river view of the stone bridge, relaxing patio. Tasty and creative dishes, prepared with care. A culinary destination in NE Iowa.

Great Mediterranean food, great view of river, dining outside on patio. I enjoyed this a lot.

This was an unexpected surprise (to find this restaurant). The food was good, the portions were just right, and I thought the prices were reasonable. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Some places fry their sweet potato fries too well. These were awesome, crisp but not overly done. I was curious about the camel burger, but it was more food than what I wanted for lunch. The service was a bit slow, but it seemed like there were only 3 or 4 people working there.

Really delicious and unique place. Best camel burger in the world. Dishes are a little more bland than expected, but it's Iowa, not Algeria. Great tap menu for really good prices!

The list of beer you're given when seated is unreal for this little town. Then I was given the bottle and glass to pour it in which read "The Red Monk" and it all became clear. Had no idea going into this restaurant that it was owned by the same people who run the great Des Moines establishment. I saw an episode of Iowa ingredient detailing their menu and whatnot and put it on a list of must try restaurants around Iowa. Since I was passing thru to do some trout fishing I had to stop in. Service and food were phenominal. I had a pita, sesame seed, herb blend (including sumac!), and cheese along with olives for a starter. It was so fresh on this 90 degree day. The lamb tagine is making me sweat but has the best smoked paprika I've ever tasted. I would highly recommend if you're ever near Elader. Back to my dish!

Awesome restaurant with a beautiful patio that is right on the river! Great view of the Stone Arch Bridge! If you like craft beer, they easily have the best selection in the area.

Camel burger and gyro wrap were good, service a little slow with only 1 waiter but overall a good experience on a beautiful day.
