I prefer to check out with an actual human, but was told that the manager recently mandated that when it is slow, that the cashiers have people use the self checkout instead. I don’t see a point of having an employee work if that is the case. Definitely going to make sure next time (now that I know) that if I am directed to use self-checkout, I won’t be making a purchase at all. If CVS HQ are trying to save $, they had best not to employ any cashiers at all.

Literally NO ONE was working in the store when I came in to get some stamps yesterday. I walked in and it was a ghost town. Even after calling out "Does anyone even work here?!", no one appeared to help me out. People could walk out with anything if they wanted to. I didn't; I just walked out with my anger and disgust. This is NOT the first time no one has been around employee-wise when I have come in. If it was I would have chalked it up to a freak incident. My advice: employ people. Employ people who actually want to work.

I wouldn’t hate this store… I’ve actually tried to like it. However every time I have had to use the pharmacy I have been treated so poorly it has soured my mouth to the whole store. The pharmacist are mean and rude and have no customer service skills. From one pharmacist asking if I’m sure I want to spend money on medication for my dog, to another being judgements and trying to make me feel bad about getting Narcan (I live in an area with a high homeless population and wanted to make sure my first aide kit had it just incase), to today trying to talk about getting my booster. The person working didn’t even look up from her computer to tell me I had to set up an appointment online.. which again is rude to not even look up but when I asked a follow up questions she huffed, rolled her eyes, didn’t answer my question and again said u have to schedule online… mind you there are signs all over the doors saying appointment and walk ins welcomed. I understand having a bad day but literally for the past 5 years every time I have used them I was treated this way. I work in customer service and have for going on 15 years and cannot believe that they get to continue to treat customers this way.

Overall I've found the store to be a bit overpriced, though not to such a degree that you're going to notice a massive difference in your receipt here versus say Wal-Mart or Walgreens for the same kind of items. Their staff have been professional, quick, and very helpful every time I've interacted with them.

Unless you play their little rewards card game, you are going to get ripped off here. Never buy non-sale items. I mostly go here for soda, clearance items and the occasional reward card deals.
