Not the quickest service and food is not going to win any awards. Store seemed under staffed and they were managing as best they can. If you're looking for a bit of nostalgia and polite friendly service you should enjoy maid rite. Makes a good spot to get a decent meal and catch up with an old friend Parking: Plenty of parking

Been eating these burgers for close to 40 years now, if you haven't tried them I recommend you do. One of the last remaining restaurants is in Muscatine Iowa across from Menards

Worst experience I've ever had a Maid Rite in my 49 years! 1 table was clean and there was trash all over the floor when we came in. Watched 2 pairs of folks walk in and wait a few minutes then leave due to no clean tables. Food has changed and not for the better. Service subpar at best.

When I walked in nobody acknowledged me and the place was filthy with soda all over the counter and a pitcher of soda left out, I stood there for a few minutes and then left. I later called and was told I'd be sent a gift card, still nothing.

I haven't been to a Maid Rite since 1984 when I lived in the Peoria Illinois area. So when I heard that they were still available in Iowa I had to get one before we left. So on our way home we stopped at the Maid-Rite in Muscatine. I have to say it was everything that I remember. The store is very nostalgic looking. It has lots of memorabilia from older times on the wall as well as vintage Made Rite signs. The Maid-Rite Sandwich was exactly how I remembered. The chili was pretty good. I enjoyed it. I don't like spicy foods and that was perfect. My daughter had a hot dog and it was huge but she really enjoyed it. Everybody had root beer floats and since it was the hottest day of the season so far they were extra good. Our waitress was really sweet and she was very attentive. If I ever get a chance to stop by again I'll be sure to do it.

Fantastic! Classic maid-rite taste. Wonderful retro setting. Great place to grab a quick lunch.
