Overall, this is a great grocery store. Prices seem to be better than Hyvee and the staff is really friendly. One thing that is consistently disappointing is that the deli staff often doesn't use gloves when handing food. We sometimes get lunch meat here and most of the time they simply grab the ham with a bare hand and use the slicer without gloves. Definitely makes me skip out on the lunch meat that time around.

Great local grocery chain Fareway originated close by in Boone and now all over Iowa. Known for quality meats and great service and fair prices. Webster City is lucky to have 2 really good chain stores. Either one will be a good choice.

Gateway is the place to shop if are actually a cook. Great meat, whole, fresh veggies and fruits. You pay for quality that you transform in your own kitchen. Not convenience, where what passed for fresh was sliced and chemically preserved days (weeks?) Ago. Closed Sundays, so plan ahead.

Made a quick stop before the snowstorm, was able to get my few items quickly. Asked for paper bag, everything fit in one bag. Friendly service.

I do almost all my grocery shopping here. The meat counter is great and the produce has gotten much better too.

Normally I have no problems at this location but today was just unacceptable. BOTH cashier's working were two busy flirting with a pair of guys to pay attention to their customers, two of us with carts full of groceries switched lines thinking we'd move a little faster, nope other cashier was flirting too. Okay fine, I'll tolerate that too, but when I have to watch two elderly women take their own groceries out because these two are still talking away and can't call for assistance, that was the final straw.
