Sav a lot is a great place to get groceries! There are many selections and a good meat department. The staff is friendly and helpful. Many have worked there years and years. The manager is outstanding and treats his employees very well and the customers too!

For a while I doubted off brand products.. but theirs is just as good as name brands and some are even better! We save so much money shopping there now! And the owner is very nice and always strikes up a conversation!

Don't be fooled by the name! Many items are cheaper at Walmart and even Hy-Vee. Prices are most likely very high due to the high percentage of food stamp users, which creates less profits for the store and our overall economy. Overall clean but don't expect to be greeted or thanked by your cashier.

They have a good selection of products. Meat, dairy, snacks, produce. Lots of diverse products too. The employees are always very nice and go out of their way to say hello. My favorite thing about this place is they do not enforce lawless regulations. If you choose to mask, great. If you choose not to, also great. They have my business for life. Also why I will always shop here, after the flood in 08, they allowed people to come in and get what they need, as they were going to lose it anyway. Class acts at save a lot.

While they may not have everything, they are one of the best grocery stores in Cedar Rapids. Prices are extremely competitive.And, you really save money,there! If there is something they don't have in stock, ask Jim, the manager, and he'll bend over backwards to try and get it for you. GREAT PLACE FOR SOUTHERN STYLE FOODS! Produce is good,as well. Give me a try!
