Best grocery store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (IA) 2024

Honestly I give it one star because of a employee. I always had great experiences there. I tried to use my credit card. Which it said exceed limit which I understand what it means obviously. I made a payment on it, so I was slightly thrown off. Not knowing I needed to wait a extra day for hit to process. So I used my debit card instead. The employee I called for help let me know it was my card. But the way she said it was very rude, she's a teenager and I'm 41 years old with my daughter with me. She said I can't help you with that, you have to use another card. It is was just the way she said it. She talked to me like I was a child or something. I felt like she was racist or something. I never experience anything like it before. Especially if front of my daughter. ~Roger

I felt dirty when I left this store. I sanitized when I got to my car and couldn’t wait to get home to wash my hands. When I gave my 91-year-old dad his items (he was separate in his car), I told him to sanitize them when he got home. We still have a pandemic, and they don’t even clean the belt! This picture doesn’t show it that well. The self checkout (I first went there) was worse, but there’s no reason when a cashier is right there (and unmasked) she can’t keep it clean. She said nothing when I mentioned it and took a picture. I had to ask her to put my items in a bag. She made no eye contact and I couldn’t get her to interact or smile. (I finally did at the end.) Her attitude just added to the feeling of filth. This is the first time of actually going inside this location store. HyVee needs to train better! ~NJ

Best place in town for supplements, minerals, elixirs and more hands down. They’re food selection always has something new to offer. They’re produce is sincerely more full of flavor than other grocers in town, probably because it’s all REAL food. If you like organic non-gmo food then go here. ~Jacob

Sav a lot is a great place to get groceries! There are many selections and a good meat department. The staff is friendly and helpful. Many have worked there years and years. The manager is outstanding and treats his employees very well and the customers too! ~TJ
