We adopted our dog Callie here about 15 years ago. She turns 16 in August! When the time comes to adopt again, I know I’ll be coming here. Callie is a wonderful dog and I can’t be happier that we adopted from this shelter. UPDATE: Callie is 17 now and still kicking! I highly recommend this shelter. :)

We adopted Tori and our experience here was amazing. Loved hanging out with the cats and getting to know them. The staff was knowledgable, friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this place.

We waited for months after Joey died at age 13. Then we visited 3 shelters Nobody felt just right until Layla let herself be seen. We played a little and I knew she was the right dog for us. At 2 years she was house trained She came from a shelter before ACS. Many dogs/cats are passed over in favor of puppies. We feel someone loved her before. She will continue her life with us. Thanks Animal Care Society for keeping her safe until we met.

Got dog, they lied about the age. I took dog to vet. I later looked at papers that came with dog. Dog was supposed to have medicine, and everything else the vet told me was in the papers. They dint read about animals or know about them. I even called and left voice-mail, no one ever called. Breed was also identified, and they lied about breed. Just a dishonest place.

We met the nicest people and were able to pickup the nicest rescue Siberian Husky. The facility was clean and accommodating. After a 957 mile drive (one way), we fell in love with GiGi and brought her to her new home in Florida.

Adopted our new kitten from here over the weekend. Staff was knowledgeable, and helpful. I appreciated the time they took to ensure that their adoptables are going to safe homes.

One of the best kept secrets in the Animal welfare world! Can't believe I've never known about Animal Care Society before now and they have been around for almost 30 years! Their name says everything about them. They truly care about the animals. The facility is clean and well maintained. The animals, even though in a shelter seem happy. Please consider adopting here!!

Amazing place. Adopted our kitten today and couldn't be more happy. Everyone is friendly and professional here. I highly recommend this place. Please go and adopt your pets here, they are so many beautiful and loving animals that need a home. Halo finally has a home now. Please note, the entrance is not what it shows on the Google map. You have to enter into Rootie's Sports Bar and Grill drive way to get to the Animal Care Society. See pictures that i uploaded.

I have had dogs from other rescues and also volunteered as a canine coach for the Humane Society for 10 years. I highly recommend this shelter as they recognize the importance of matching the right breed to the proper owner. These folks absolutely know what they are doing with regards to finding the right home for the animals. Are they overly cautious? Yes, because they want the animal to find a forever home. They worked with me and my German Shepherd for several weeks to make sure every member of our dog family would get along. I can't say enough about their qualifications with the animals. Experts in every way! Scout couldn't be more perfect for us. A cautious adoption process is necessary to find the right home, it is part of their excellence you won;t find anywhere else.
