Best bank in Alhambra, California (CA) 2024

Should be zero stars. Entered lobby, put name on sign-in sheet. Female employee walked up and asked purpose of our visit. Answered wanted to open new account. Gal stated “no one to help you…we only open accounts by appointment….you need to make an appointment and come back another day.” This is pathetic and unprofessional. This is a retail location, not the commercial banking group or private bank. As a shareholder, I am appalled. ~R

My hope is that CB&T as a whole is better than this branch. I scheduled an appointment online. Arrived the Branch 10 mins early and waited for someone to approach me. No one was ion the Branch. Took about 15 mins before someone asked if I needed assistance. I said I had scheduled an appt online with a Connie Wong. They said she isn't in this week and I would need to come back next week. i was frustrated and said I booked an appt and wasn't there someone else who could assist me. I had all the standard docs I usually take to open an account - currently bank with Chase, Wells Fargo and Citibank - and was asked for docs I had never even heard of. Guy had to get on the phone with their back office and they said we needed a set of docs that was different than he said I needed. Needless to say I left frustrated - went down the street and opened the account with Wells Fargo. ~Frank

This is a great Chase Bank location. I stopped by here to get a cashier check to pay for my wedding and the process was so easy. Finding parking was easy and when I walked into the bank, I was helped right away. They have extra security when you do a cashier check but that's necessary because of fraud and such. The employee working the window was very nice and helpful during the process because it was my first time doing the cashier check. ~Peter
