The service here depends on who you get honestly.
We went here on Friday, 04Feb2022, and had great service from one individual (did not get his name, but he may have been a store manager?). He helped us know about an awesome $500 rebate and provided amazing customer service as we tried to transfer me over from AT&T on my unlocked phone. There was an issue where my number could not transfer right away, though, so we were required to come back after 24 hours (which is annoying, but not their fault). Well we had to come back after the weekend, so we returned on Monday, 07Feb2022.
When we returned, there was one employee working (his name was Kirk based on the receipt). It was not busy at all. We came in and informed him of the situation and that we essentially just needed to try again because registration failed the first time. He ended up just restarting, informing us it may not work again and that we would likely have to come back again in 24 hours. We told him to try, so he started following the steps similar to the first guy. HOWEVER, this time the guy didn't even ask us what plan we wanted (just picked the lowest option), signed me up for device protection that I explicitly did NOT want, and did not even inform us about the potential rebate. We brought it up since we knew there was a rebate from the previous trip, and the guy told us that we did not qualify. The only reason we did not qualify is because he had signed us up for a basic plan. I told him that is probably why it didn't pop up, so he just gave us the promo code and told us to the change the plan ourselves through the Verizon app. The whole experience was extremely stressful and so much more uncomfortable than the previous trip. I understand customer service is not as important to a lot of people these days and that a job is a job, but it did not feel like we mattered even in the slightest to this guy. We are still trying to fix the situation with Verizon to remove the device insurance.
It is definitely a luck-based draw for the type of service you're going to get here it seems. We honestly should have just gone through the Verizon website like we originally planned. ~Stephanie
