I was seeking expert advice to harmonize my previous highlights/baylage, which was choppy not well blended (mix of brass and platinum highlights on dark brunette base). She took the time to provide a thorough in-person consult to balance my hair goals while considering longevity of the color and hair health, plus what would be realistic for my current hair and previous highlights. I didn’t know exactly how to put into words what I wanted to achieve, and she provided her experienced opinion while listening to my preferences. From consult to color, to cut, and style- Anya was attentive to the intricacies of my hair. The whole process was collaborative and I trusted our shared vision for my hair. What a pleasure at Gems of La Costa! We enjoyed our early Christmas shopping. Beautiful jewelry! The staff is wonderful - patient, knowledgeable, kind and fun. I appreciated their straight forward answers to my basic questions. Lots of good learning. I loved this store for many years, but I have to say the staff that works there now leaves so much to be desired. I walked in, smiled and said hello to them, they never replied, they never asked if I needed help, they never offered a changing room, and I when I found a pair of pants I wanted, I decided to put them back due to the fact i didn't want to interact with the rude person behind the counter that was berating a coworker for not pushing the credit card option on the last person to check out. I'd rather order online and wait for shipping. This store is the ONLY store in the forum that didn't have staff that greeted, offered to help, and had a wonderful cheer about them. White House, Chicos, Anthro, Madewell, and Urban Outfitters ALL got my business today. Loft is the only one that I could have bought and didn't all because of their poor staffing behavior.
