Rented a raft from CKS last year, due to bad weather they were verify flexible in changing the dates. Thank you for that. However, once I came to pick up the raft they explained that I was mistaken in thinking they would provide straps to attach to the raft to my car, even though when I asked specifically over the phone a week before. Things only got worse when we attempted to return the raft. We were immediately questioned on the number of paddle taken. It felt like they were blaming us for them forgetting writing down the number of paddles we had and seemed to think we stole one. While the boat of high quality the service and experience in the shop was far from ideal. Will not rent from there again. ~Max

Great to have a second grocery store in the area! I enjoyed their produce section ~ nice wide aisles, great produce, and reasonable prices for what we needed (bananas, blueberries, peaches, and sweet potatoes). Also delighted to find that they carry Impossible plant-based protein products in frozen foods and LightLife in deli area. Staff was really helpful and good-natured. ~Elyse

Great food, we had sausage plates and gluten free pizza. The crust was outstanding. Inside of the building was beautiful painting. Had a flight, the sour tasted like fruit punch, not really sour, but the stouts were great. The java and the barrel aged Java were smooth and well balanced. These guys are AWESOME! Saved us. Friday before Labor Day our jeep broke down in the City Market parking lot. A sweet angel, Tara, came by and told us to call Antero. Talked to another angel who spoke with her husband, Holbert, who was the mechanic, who asked if he could help us at the City Market parking lot, we just figured getting a tow would be next to impossible Labor Day weekend. Came to us and fixed our jeep within the hour. Amazing people in Buena Vista, good hearted people who want to help. Highly recommend Antero, honest and helpful 👍 ~Kelly

For what this store lacks in product selection (hello, small town!), it makes up for with the exceptionally kind staff. The team is personable, helpful, professional, and proactive! Go during slower periods (early mornings, later evenings) to avoid crowds and a busy parking lot. This store is particularly mobbed during summer tourist season, so plan ahead! ~Shelby

Unassuming from the exterior but do yourself a favor and go inside!!! I got a creme filled longjohn and holysh*t. It's amazing. This may be the best donut I've had. It's not dense at all, it's a very light dough. The creme inside is the perfect amount of sweet. I can't explain it. Just go in and get something. Edit: I went back the next day for more. As I'd hoped, everything was amazing. I got a bear claw, cappuccino donuts, more creme filled long johns, sprinkle donuts, and glazed donuts. This is absolutely the best bakery in BV and one of the best probably in Colorado. ~Erica

Just got some bad gas from here (85 octane). I’ve had this happen before at another place, which caused my engine light and two other lights to come on. Unfortunately we filled the tank. Luckily we were able to find some octane booster at the Exxon in Fairplay. ~Kirsten
