They did a nice job changing my oil last week along with rotating my tires, adding coolant and transmission fluid to my engine and pointing out a couple of mechanical things. People coming in for appointments to have their emissions test done had to leave because the equipment was down. Staff told me since the state DMV changed their testing equipment they've had trouble with it every since. My car was about to be tested when it stopped, but during my wait time they got it running again long enough to do mine. Others had to call and reschedule, including my partner who was going to go after me. While waiting, I saw on the web that Midas was offering an oil change discount coupon for the month of December. I asked if I could use it and was told their branch never did coupons because they thought their prices were already good. The managers discussed this and one came out to tell me they decided to cover my emissions fee instead since their equipment had been down at the time of my appointment. I appreciated the gesture. Good customer service. He also had a reference for a European car mechanic for me to give my partner to have his headlights replaced. It's a popular place that does a lot of work on vehicles and has for a long time, so I do recommend them but it would obviously be helpful to clients if they can get the state emissions equipment running consistently. ~Juliana

Having antiqued for many years I have seen changes in the business with fewer and fewer true family owned antique shops. Today many (but not all) so called group antique centers have become not much more than flea markets. So I was so happy to visit Unique Antiques of Connecticut ! It is a great place to visit and shop. Operated by a young couple, Brittany and Jesse, it features a very nice selection of antique furniture, art work, smalls and a few primitives. Items are generally of high quality and moderately priced. Atmosphere in this one floor shop is friendly and not at all stuffy. Owners are very helpful. I plan to visit this shop periodically when in the Canton Connecticut area. ~ROBERT

This was our first experience at Saybrook Fish House and it exceeded our expectations! They started off by bringing us hot steaming rolls with delicious butter. We started off with mozzarella sticks and mussels! The mozzarella sticks were like anything I've ever tasted before. The cheese was oozing out of them and melted like butter in my mouth not to mention how huge they were and paired with the marinara WOW! The mussels were out of this world and I absolutely love mussels. They were perfectly cooked and the white wine butter garlic sauce was so savory especially with extra rolls to lather the sauce up with! My husband ordered the special which was a baked or broiled cod with capers over mashed potatoes and spinach. The cod was so tender and perfectly cooked it flaked apart. Not to mention the mashed potatoes tasted homemade. I had the shrimp scampi over linguine in a brown butter garlic sauce and my tastebuds were doing backflips in my mouth! Every penny we spent was well worth it! The staff was also very friendly and nice we will definitely be back again! ~Aleah

Purchased a travel trailer they were selling on eBay. We got it at a very fair price and the repairs they made were very professional. There were some small problems that were not disclosed or shown in photos and the interior needed a good cleaning. If I needed car repair I would trust these guys to do a good job, just not over the top. ~Tad

I went into the store to upgrade my son’s phone as it was old. We were met with a sales rep named David Mayo. Not only did I need to upgrade, I also needed to do a name change on my account. David was so helpful and knowledgeable. He took a look at my account and told me that he could lower my monthly payment significantly even with the addition of the new phone AND two new watches. David was so helpful throughout my experience even when he hit a snag with moving my number over to my new account. There was one other gentleman involved during my visit I believe named Josh who was also very helpful. I would recommend anyone needing help to talk to these two. 10/10 for service for sure!!!! ~Beth

This place is top notch! We had an issue with our Motorhome's front tire and they were able to get us back up and running in no time. I highly recommend them.
