Best truck rental agency in Waterbury, Connecticut (CT) 2024

They ripped me off on at least 3 different occasions. Overtime I got an on line quote they over charged me. When I went down to pick up my vehicle they tried to tell me " prices can change within minutes " my response. .. Isn't that why you get a quote? The first time I fought with them, after the 2nd and 3rd time. I paid it and vowed to never rent from them again! Bad business for the client, good for the owner since he made upwards of 80.00 for just me each time. I went to the Waterbury, CT location. 393 Thomaston location. I believe I was dealing with a woman named Erin. One time she even claimed that there was cigarette ashes all over it and tried to charge an additional 250.00 dollars to clean it. Since I didn't smoke and brought the vehicle back early she let me go detail it. I only went down the street and simply wiped the supposed ashes out ( which was sand, since it was winter) and I went back 5-7 min later. They didn't end up charging me. I know they have 2 rental car companies at that same locations. Budget and Avis rentals. They also go by the name of Durable Companies. The do auto body repair and other services. My insurance company wanted me to go there for an estimate bit I would have no part in it. If they are dishonest in one company doesn't it make sense that they would be dishonest in all. Buyer beware! Would never go to them again. Be sure to bring your quote with you and don't rely on you texts. Best of luck to the consumers. ~Theresa

Bernie was the driver I believe maybe Ernie but he helped me with my Hyundai tow and this guy went so far above And beyond what he was required - he was amazing , wonderful man., wouldn’t rest Until I was taken care of and believe me we kept having issues after issues — this dude needs a promotion a raise and/ or to train other tow guys the right way to perform customer service. he was absolutely a pleasure and really helped me in a tough situation — for nothing but his own time— If u need a tow — call these Guys and ask specifically for Bernie! ~Daniel
