Best beauty salon in Miami, Florida (FL) 2025

The stylist in this store refused to service my mixed daughter, who is 6, saying that her hair is impossible to do. I think it’s because I was black that they proceeded to insult me in Spanish, thinking I couldn’t understand what they were saying. Until I said that I understand everything because I’m Dominican. They stayed at me shocked. I made an appointment for a Super Cut Jr. I came in with my daughter for my daughter not for me. I am a black mother this is very upsetting to be discriminated against. I stood outside the store crying because of this experience. A day that was supposed to be a mother daughter pamper day became one of discrimination and having to explain to her why they couldn’t do her hair. I have never experienced this from SuperCuts but if this is what you stand for I want no parts. It has got me thinking if my daughter was a different color and had a different hair type she would’ve been able to her hair done. I literally had to fight back my tears so that she didn’t see me crying. Even though we’re in 2022, racism still exist down to the hair type. This was very upsetting and sad.
