Best bakery in Marietta, Georgia (GA) 2024

This is a mixed review...because I am a loyal customer of Publix. The deli department in this store needs some serious help. Specifically, the sandwich counter... I work very close to this store and frequently go during lunch to pick up various things. Today, I decided that I wanted a sandwich and I stood in line for more than 35 minutes. Thirty five minutes! This isn't the first time this has happened...this seems to be normal operations for this location. With only three people in front of me, I could not (and still cannot) make sense of why it was taking so long. In addition to this, at one point, there were four people waiting for food from the 'hot bar'. All this was happening as I watched an employee working on something else in the back. With customers waiting, shouldn't they be the priority? The rest of my shopping experience was great (as always). After picking up a few things for home, I was met at the check-out by two great team members ready to take care of me. They are always friendly and always helpful. Thank you!! Please...do something about the slow service at the sandwich counter. I MUCH prefer your subs over any chain restaurant but frequently steer clear of visiting that part of the store because it takes FOREVER to get something. ~Christie

Found it surprising that there was only one coffee cake muffin on my sunday morning visit [7/31/22]. Cashier gave me attitude when I asked if there were more, which also was ah surprise. Not so customer friendly for me. ~Dee

The only reason I stopped was because Marietta Donuts on Johnson Ferry Rd. started closing on Monday. As soon as I got home I regretted it. There's no comparison. Marietta Donuts still make their donuts from scratch. Dunkin brings theirs in frozen. And they've been doing it for years. ~wc21553
