Best moving company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (IA) 2024

This was the first time we have used a moving company and it was EVERY BIT as WONDERFUL as I could have hoped and then some. We had previously just moved 7 months prior and did it all by ourselves and it took DAYS. I knew we could never do that again it was so horrible. This time around, we moved from Iowa to Indiana and we hired Maher Bros. Transfer and storage with Allied Van Lines. The whole process was smooth from the get-go: from the quote to the loading, move and unloading. They had loaded all our stuff in under 5 hours. Delivered under 48 hours. And was unloaded into our new home in under 3. The driver, Nick, was superb and the teams on both ends were so respectful and went above and beyond. The movers (interstate with intermediate storage-both move out and move in) were really exceptional; timely, polite, professional and went above and beyond. Price a bit on the high side (but even cheaper than others which gave me quotes). Fast, professional and very friendly. Call center and person who gave us the quote also fast and efficient- Not as friendly and polite as the movers (let’s say just not as chill) but still very professional and did their best to accommodate our needs. The quoter actually came in person to supervise and pack our most fragile goods. Would definitely recommend and hire them again. ~Danniele
