Best book store in Lawrence, Kansas (KS) 2024

Dashel was obviously highly important for my kids to see/pet and be happy that this bookstore had a cat! The bookstore has been a favorite of mine for many years and it is just as wonderful, extremely friendly staff, EXCELLENT selection, and safety first. Love the new location as well. Sure masks are still required here as of July 2022 - but they provide them if you don't have one. We didn't and were happy to wear them while shopping - anything to keep at risk people safe and able to shop as well. My kids also saw the Vote No, protect choice first as we were walking and were already loving this store because of that. ~Carla
