Best auto repair shop in Frederick, Maryland (MD) 2024

This shop recently serviced/rebuilt the transmission for my Acura TL. Before just blindly accepting the diagnosis and the repair needed, I asked several questions and demanded explanations. The owner, Mike went out of his way and took the time to answer each and every one of my questions, to explain every step of the rebuild process, and (unnecessarily) help me understand the complete scope of the work to be done. I highly recommend this shop for anyone that wants the highest quality of work and attention to detail to be performed on their vehicle at a fair rate. They were wonderful. I didn't realize I bought a car with so many problems. His wife that answers the phone was very professional and they were so busy and she worked me in because I had no other car to drive. He efficiently diagnosed the problems and those parts are working perfectly. I have some other problem with missing and jumping around when I drive or in idle but the check engine light isn't on so until it does, it can't be diagnosed. Price was competitive... but my truck took 24 gallons when it only has a 22 gallon tank. I've driven this truck 30k miles and I've never put 24 in it before. I'm skeptical about the accuracy of the pump and wonder if I just paid them for an extra gallon or two? Not sure... but skeptical. ~Benjamin

I've used Mr.Shin for about 2 years. I had been searching for a reasonable and honest mechanic since my old mechanic retired. I've tried a couple mechanics who either ruined my vehicles, overpriced or simply dishonest because I'm a woman. But finding this shop has truly been a blessing for me.
