Best post office in Belding, Michigan (MI) 2024

I noticed my mail had not been delivered in several weeks. Yet amazon packages were saying they were being delivered. What happened is I moved my mailbox from a wood post near the side wall to a metal box attached to my home. I was informed by a rude postmaster that I needed file a hardship request. I needed to request this form three times in order to be provided with the form. I am the only house and one of very few homes in the town that has a wooden post mail box. Every other home on my block has a mailbox attached to the wall or their home. I inquired if every person on my block had made a hardship request to have their mailbox moved. My read is that rather than providing quality customer service the postmaster likes to maintain power and control and gets upset at anyone that challenges her authority. Why am I being treated differently than everyone else on the block? I have a hard time buying everyone in the town submitted hardship requests to have a mailbox moved. Really? The majority of the town made hardship requests to move their mailbox? I have a hard time buying that. It is extremely unfortunate that the postmaster is more concerned with being right than providing quality service. She did inform me the post office sent me a letter which they kept in the post office without delivering that said that my mail was being held at the post office. Initially the postmaster said I could not get my mail until I moved the mailbox. The post master has absolutely no right keep a disabled veterans medications from him. Incredible that the post master was well aware that the mail they were holding was medication and choose not to inform me. I returned to the post office today with my Veteran's Disability Letter and completed form. The post master refused to receive the request and stated I need a doctors note that explicitly states I am unable to walk to my mailbox. Altho the form does not request a doctors note, the post master said this was something I was supposed to "assume." ~Squid
